I actually really don't like the idea that Meggy would forgive Mr. Puzzles if he magically came back.
In general, I really don't like how Meggy's reaction to Puzzles was built in the last few arcs, especially considering the existence of Leggy. She had to watch her friend get infected by an unknown evil spirit, nearly dying while saving him. She had to live a MONTH in a simulation where her idol killed her over and over again. (It is unknown how long she would have stayed there if not for Tari's help.) After which she was dragged into another simulation where Mr. Puzzles ridiculed her experience in Western Spaghetti. And after that, the whole mess with Leggy started, where they literally broke into her house and forcibly made her a goomba.
I don't like that she's even considering helping Mr. Puzzles because of LEGGY. Even though she was finally able to live a peaceful life without him before???
I'm glad they finally remembered about Western Spaghetti (and only in a flashback) and also sometimes allowed us to show Meggy's trauma (for one New Year's episode). But I think it's terrible to think that Meggy would forgive him after everything that happened and feel for him?? I mean, the last thing he did was put her life at risk and then he only offered a dry apology.
I'm so tired of seeing people expect the team to accept Mr. Puzzles and listen to his sob stories again. Especially Meggy, who suffered the most from him.
Sometimes I feel like this fandom doesn't want to accept how much crap Puzzles has done and just speedruns his redemption and relationships with other characters.
And I don't think the crew as a whole would listen to his tearful speeches again (not to mention that it's not even in his style, but that's a topic for another conversation yeah..)
is anyone elses CCCC interpretation completely different from how they write the characters and draw them and stuff?
how i write the characters is me playing with my touys... my interpretation of the actual album is VERY different.
I think the moment I really started thinking about Floch as a character was right around the moment Hange comforted him right before he died and closed his eyes after the fact.
The whole time skip really diluted the fact that Floch knew and fought with these guys for a couple years before the whole yeagerist takeover.
I think him and Louise are good examples of youths shunted into a situation where they feel like they need to act but have very little time, resource or knowledge to do so and so they lash out instead.
It’s desperation perpetuated by people that are ill-experienced and don’t have the wisdom to approach the chaos in a way that’s proactive, in contrast to the 104th veterans that do have the knowledge and experience to effectively take action.
Not to say that all of the yeagerists were naive cadets that Floch was able to influence.. I’m just saying lot of them were.
Floch’s first manta in regards to war was that the only way to win, the only way to persevere, is to become evil.
‘We need a devil.’
Which is the philosophy he stuck to for years, poisoning him into what he becomes later on.
Floch is the crude embodiment of what he perceived Erwin to be during his final moments during the charge, and he built his entire world view through that experience.
That sacrifices have to be made for a ‘greater good’, that people, including him, are expendable, that his death and deaths of his comrades, as well as everyone outside of the walls is well worth it if everyone within the walls is safe.
Even if it’s evil, even if it’s unforgivable, it’s worth it. Because that’s just what it takes to win.
That’s what it takes to live…
He is a traumatised child playing dress-up with skewered ideologies because of an experience he cannot and will never move on from.
He’s sculpted too much of himself out of it to be able to.

Thinking about what Shin would've done if Mr. Sakamoto didn't save him and employ him at the store.
I don't think Shin was at a good place at that time. Obviosly, i dont think any assassins are but we've seen him in his cold apartment, with his daily dose of nutritions which doesnt really count as a meal, we've seen his boss which was a pain in the a**.
Mr. Sakamoto is a person Shin looks up to, but due to certain circumstances, Shin is forced to point the gun at him. Of course, he looses that battle.
How does Shin feel? I mean, is there anything that drives him forward? And now, he points the gun at Mr. Sakamoto, the man who saved him all those years ago and shin admires deeply. Is it guilt? Maybe he feels ashamed, weak?
So then, he offers his boss to take his life instead of Mr. Sakamotos. Shin was willing to die to protect the little of what he's seen of Mr. Sakamotos life. Why?
I think its because shin didn't have a reason to life anyway. He said something about trying to find Mr. Sakamoto again, but now that he did, even pointing the gun at him, but also seeing the mundane everyday life, Shin has nothing to hold anymore. I think shin, at that time (but also later), is unable to imagine that he also could be part of this life. So, without anything to hold onto, he offers his life to protect the other life he knows he cant achieve, the life of the person he deeply admires.
Of course we know how this ends. But lets imagine mr. Sakamoto didn't come to save shin.
Shin wants to protect mr. Sakamoto and his family, so he fights hid boss and the others. Without mr. Sakamoto, he wouldve lost the battle.
But what if he didnt? What if he successfully protects the family? Would he still have something to hold onto? If the person he admires is (in his eyes) off-limits and leads a life shin never belongs to.
We dont see any other friends or people shin has any special connection to during his assassin days.
Well, what i probably wanna say is, mr sakamoto saves shin in more ways than one.
i think we don't talk about what the driving force behind each batcher is enough. like if u think abt it hunter often acts out of fear ( not cowardice , fear that his ppl will get hurt duh ) , while crosshair often acts out pain , tech acts with logic , wrecker with love , and echo ? echo acts out of being true hater
