going to watch the assassination classroom movie tomorrow AAAA IM SO EXCITEDDD!! lemme yap abt it on here for old times sake :3

to anyone who wasn't here back in 2023-2024,, I was (and always have been) an assassination classroom enthusiast‼️‼️ I watched the anime back in 2017 when I was younger than the cast and was obsessed w karma, and my oc that I use to ship w him recently is the same oc from back then!

at the time, I was really mentally unwell as a kid, I had a lot of mental health issues and hurt myself often, but back then, we had a big national exam before primary school ends and rewatching this series made me get the motivation I needed to lock in and study 😭 all bcs I wanted to be as smart as my favourite character, karma 😭

I would always rewatch it every year, sometimes the entire thing or just my fave episodes,, but in 2023, I got obsessed again LMAO my interests never faded and I started to rebuild my oc again and their lore w karma,, I had another huge national exams when I was 17 that will determine which uni will accept me and my ass was writing a chapter for my assassination classroom fic every week withour fail💀💀 and I was planning to enter law so I really needed good grades and here I was writing fics

I could have exams on that week and I'd still have a chapter ready, to the point that I wrote a 100k fic by the time it reached june/july of 2024😭😭 I drew so much ac art that I still have up in this acc and met so many lovely ppl, it made me socialise more online again! and funnily enough, the anime did help me w my studies as much as it sounded like I was distracted 24/7 (I was, but I have my ways to lock in🫡)

I target first place in rankings every exam just to be like karma and it worked!! he was a great motivation for me to study properly,, I even bought merch along the way, his nendo, his figurine, some of the mangas, the other side mangas like the graduation one and even made my own personal ones for my yumeship

ac is such a big part of my life, I don't think I'll ever stop loving it,, I won't say it's the most show stopping series ever, but it was important to me and was there for me every time I needed comfort

anyway enough yapping, I'll be enjoying the movie in my kayano cosplay tomorrow and I can't wait!!

Digital art pisses me off because it's such a different set of tools and skills. Like I can draw something on a sheet of paper, hate it or love it it's like ok it's there I know what it looks like. Hand movement, judgement of shapes and lines and spatial awareness of the medium itself.

Digital art fucks me up every single time and I know it's probably repetition that I need but it feels so like. Different and kind of bad because it's different. I know in my brain it's more accessible for me though because everything I need is right there. No setting up paints or "wasting" resources or anything. But the digital space is off putting. The canvas settings etc it can be 10 x 10 ft wide or normal piece of paper and I know in my brain that's true but my eyes and heart don't know that.

Bleg. I know. The real key to art is force of will, repetition and the willingness to make something you think looks bad at the end. Because you liked making it or because the practice was worth the lessons you learned. Or some shit, it's been awhile.
