Complete and concise manual for making knitted and crocheted yarmulkas (kippot).
I bought this yarmulka book after meaning to for a couple of years because I really enjoy thread crochet but could use some much smaller projects. Lots of great diagrams. Lots of clear graphs of how to create the designs on the yarmulkas.
There is no instruction for what sizes the yarmulkas should be before you start working the designs (which include rocket ships, if you're curious), and for a moment I went, "Oh, that's weird that it wouldn't be included. I can't believe they--oh wait they assume you have one in the house somewhere to size against."
Which I don't, but I am very good at increasing to size and keeping things flat, so I'll be fine. I've looked up some sizings. I love that the patterns can either be regular colorwork where you're carrying along, or you can just make a base yarmulka and cross stitch them on. I do enjoy a bit of cross stitch on crochet.
The book is also on Amazon if that's easier for you. I'm going to bust out some white thread maybe this weekend and make a base set to get my increases right, then cross stitch the first batch with a few designs.
