Toby Misinformation
So this has been bothering me for a while now when it comes to people writing Ticci Toby and his CIPA—specifically the smut writers.
Toby can still feel pleasure. I’m tired of the misinformation about his condition writing/saying he can’t.
And to the other authors writing his character, please know that he can still feel pressure and texture (e.g. gentle touching, hugging, sexual stimulation) they can all still be perceived as pleasurable. So yes, Toby can feel touch (as long as it’s gentle and not too much to cause him pain). CIPA doesn’t mean he can’t feel anything—it just means he cannot feel pain, ofc, can’t feel temperature, can’t sweat, etc.
So please do ur research and make sure not to spread misinformation before writing about his character and disorders!!
Hi! Could you do something involving Deadpool and Wolverine with a male reader who has CIPA (Congenital Insensitivity to Pain with Anhidrosis.
It is a rare genetic disease that causes the inability to feel pain)
YES YES YESSSSS im literally so interested in this disease coz it was in an episode of house and i was like woahhh, thats crazy so YES
also not sure if you wanted dating them but im just gonna do that and please send in another ask saying you didn’t if you don’t and ill fix it 👍
DATING THEM AS M!READER WITH CIPA
Dipping Biscuit
He had been waiting for his moment. Whumper - distracted, unguarded.
Sitting on the couch without knowing Whumpee had grabbed a knife from the kitchen. He trusted Whumpee enough to let him wander around the house. That was after many attempts at fawning Whumper.
But today, he will kill him with his own hands.
Whumpee tiptoed slowly towards Whumper. His eyes locked on his exposed skin. If he can strike Whumper without failing, he could run away from this place.
From this hell.
Whumper lifted his teacup, sipping from it. Whumpee took the chance and swung the knife right onto his other hand, the sharp edge piercing through Whumper's palm.
"I did it!"
Whumpee declared, a bit too happy. But his face turned pale as a ghost when he noticed Whumper's reaction - or lack of it.
The man was still sipping his tea with an eerie calmness. As if the blood that was already dripping to the floor was just an everyday thing.
When the sound of the knife clattered to the floor - much to Whumpee absolute horror and disbelief - Whumper finally lifted his head and noticed the circumstances.
"Ah."
He looked up at Whumpee and back to the huge hole in the middle of his hand before smirking. Amused, perhaps?
"My sweet bunny is getting so bold nowadays."
Whumpee stumbled backward, arms flailing in panic while his mouth trembled with incoherent words.
"Whuh— how - master -"
Whumper squeezed Whumpee's cheeks tightly, using his wounded hand.
"Why do you think I love torturing you so much?"
Whumpee whimpered, unable to stop the tears falling down to his cheeks.
"Because you have the ability to feel the pain, while I can't"
Whumper flicked his gaze to the basement door and Whumpee already begging in fear. "No, no, please, master—"
"No can do, Bunny. Now, be good and feel all the pain I give you for me."

Small warning for my toby fans, my toby will not have tourettes syndrome, but rather ocd. I am chosing this, not out of a lack of confidence to represent tourettes syndrome, but rather because i feel those tourettes syndrome + CIPA, opens a large door for comorbidities. For those who do not know, I'm a licensed medical professional, and i take accurate representation very seriously. While looking into the realistic experience of having CIPA as well as those having tourettes, it is MUCH MUCH more then just having tics and not feeling pain. Sensory input, intrusive thoughts, impulsive thoughts, mood swings, temperature dysregulation and corneal ulcers are just the tip of the iceburg. For that reason my Toby will have CIPA and OCD, as OCD still keeps thr core behaviors of what make toby "weird" (repetitive stims, vocalizations, compulsive words and actions) as well as i get to put more focus into the physical representation of CIPA and how it can affect people who make it to adulthood. (which is rare enough on its own)
WHAT IF!Gerry has CIPA(the condition where you can't feel pain) and that's why he refused pain meds when he was in the hospital and he picked up the burning book and it didn't hurt and maybe it's the reason he didn't know he had a brain tumor also I think when he said being dead hurt he meant mentally,he meant it hurt mentally.
A curious Whumper who cannot feel pain uses Whumpee to represent their own body, studying Whumpee’s expressions and sounds so they can see what that type of injury would possibly feel like.
