I saw some crafts like this on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a try. I'm wasn't sure about the sequins for the letters, but it is bright and cheery looking against a dark brown wall. I may try this again in different colors😊.

Yarn-wrapped wreaths

I was looking at the whole alliteration that is ‘wool wrapped wreaths’ but the yarn I used is acrylic, and that would be a misrepresentation.

I finally had a go!

I have a huge amount of yarn. And an even huger amount of yarn ‘bits’ - not enough to knit anything at all with, but too much to throw away.

So hot glue gun to the rescue.

I used a small polystyrene ring, and hot glued the start of the yarn to it. Then I wound it round and round. And round. And round. (It took a while!)

I used hot glue every now and then just to keep everything neat. And then I added some Hessian flowers, because they are pretty!

All it needs now is a hanging ribbon and maybe a sentiment. This is a great way of using up scraps, and I have loads to do!
