I still loved this the second time around. Even more so since I finally saw the original version with Benedict Cumberbatch's lovely narration that truly feels like The Grinch himself.
He is one of those rare actors who can do voice work just as perfectly as a regular acting job. It sounds easy but when you see other lesser talented people doing it's shocking how much of a difference does it make when it's someone really good.
I love the plot, I love Max and Fred, Cindy-Lou and her friends. I love that we can see The Grinch has a heart long before the end, even if he doesn't know it yet.

Terrier Max is coping with some major life changes. His owner is now married and has a toddler.
There are a few funny scenes. Kevin Hart is still funny as a bunny, Jenny Slate and Harrison Ford are amusing too. But pretty much all of it can already be seen in the many character trailers that were released beforehand.
The plot consists of three barely connected short stories. And the voice of the villain sounds recycled from Despicable Me.

It was me. I stole your Christmas. I stole it because I thought it would fix something from the past. But it didn't.
This may have already been brought up but...
In the most recent How the Grinch Stole Christmas movie, Dr. Seuss's The Grinch, are we really supposed to believe that the Who's were so involved in their celebrations that they didn't notice a BRIGHT GREEN CHILD WHO DIDN'T LOOK LIKE THEM? Also where was the orphanage? It seemed relatively close to Whoville in the Grinch's memories. I just.
