That ask about Hugh fainting the shiny zubat is exactly why I’m super careful about making the pokemon of whoever’s following me in game faint at the beginning of every battle, shiny or not

I generally don’t need the help due to overleveling, and that way nothing I wanna catch dies

That’s a clever strategy! I’ll have to keep that in mind for the next time I have to do partner battles in the game because I’ve realized that shinies will always appear when you least expect it xD
