I love the audio dramas, they're so special to me. Here's to hoping we get plenty more
Hey guys, good friday to you all! ^^ It's finaly spring time, yay! Let's celebrate it with a Yashita drawing. :D I'm still enjoying drawing with ink, so here's another piece, plus the digital version of it (the top one). Also, once again thank you so much for your feedback on the last pieces guys, I'm glad you liked them!! I always love reading your comments!! <3 <3 ^-^
So here we have yet another Yashita piece - I just can't draw them enough. Hope you're not starting to get bored by my very one-sided content, haha. 'xD This is supposed to be another BlindYashiki piece (hence no glasses and white eyes), but I guess you could overlook that and see it as normal Yashita work as well. I wanted to draw something cute and romantic and it's been a while that I drew them kissing, so that felt like a good idea. Also I've decided that I want to try to focus more on hands in my future drawings, because I have fun drawing them and would also like to improve on that.
For inspiration and to broaden my horizons (on interesting hatching, effects or backgrounds) I've looked at a lot of other artist's ink drawings and I found that I really like pieces with what I'm gonna call 'unfinished lines' - meaning on some places lines break off abruptly, drawing the shape not completely but enough to make it recognizeable what it is. I tried myself at this in this piece, it was quite a challenge for me as it was hard to decide where lines should be and which parts to leave blank to create an interesting composition. In the end I ended up drawing more details than I intended - so not quite a success - but for my first try I am satisfied with the outcome. I like the effect how Mashita's arm and Yashiki's neck are kind of blending/merging together - you can "see" both in the lines, but not at the same time. Kind of like these optical illusion pieces where you can see two different images depending on how you look at them - I've always been fascinated by these.
If my motivation doesn't have other plans I think I'm gonna be doing more ink drawings for a while but we'll see. 'xD Anyway, thank you very much for taking a look, let me know what you think of this piece if you like. ^^ Wishing you a good week and see you next time! :)
Hiii! I can finally post my contribution for @yashita-zine ❤️
I'm really happy to have been part of this project alongside so many talented artists and writers. Big thanks for the opportunity, and even bigger thanks to all the people who supported the cause!! 🥰
hi im back
To the nights that last forever
(Caption taken from a fic with the same title by yuyu_finale)
Finger painted this on my iPad bc my wrist started hurting...
Yashiki's face is covered in smoke, his eyes and expression are obscured bc mashita doesnt want to see yashiki's reaction.
Yashiki the bright part (though it's only the parts covered by the smoke, in reality he's just as shadowed as mashita).
The smoke also looks a little like tears on mashita's face, mashita doesnt show any emotion besides anger/irritation, so the smoke does the crying for him
Yashiki's mouth is open and it's unknown if he's surprised or trying to talk to a mashita thats not really listening
Bonus scrapped mashita
Yashita zine releases tomorrow! So here's an old sketch I cleaned up for my contributor spotlight ☺️
