I very much enjoy your portrayal of Yasuo. You've taken great details from what lore we were given and adapted them to create an amazing (and lovable) rendition of Yasuo that anyone can enjoy. I think my favorite part is how's he kinda the "no bullshit" character, but at the same time he's willing to throw it out the window and have fun (at least once in a while.) I'm very happy you're here, and I hope you continue doing what you're doing! You can only get better. <3 I hope you have a good day!

That aside, Ive said it before but I cant stress enough to say how important it is to hear what I have here is enjoyable to people. And that what you are mentioning there - trust me I had nightmares. Times where Id freak out over my worries about portraying him leaning either to one extreme or another. Yasuo is known for being a generally serious/aloof character but he is hinted to have his laid back side, even though some of it is works as a mask. He hides behind sarcasm to cope with his pain and... this is super tricky to portray in a natural way. Sometimes I look back at some replies and I think ‘shit I should have made him laugh’ or when the inverse I go ‘man I think thats too silly’.

The reason why most of the times I take longer than usual to reply to asks isnt because of the fancy images. Its literally because sometimes I am torn as to what would be the most ‘accurate’ way to go about his behavior. I keep his voice in my mind, I write his lines over and over until I am satisfied (unless I have an answer clear in my head from the get go). Yasuo is a mixture of serious, but also a guy who has needs repressed in him and needs to let go every once in a while and hearing I am able to reach this consistency in a believable way means the world. Its a lot of relief. Thank you so much friend.

Odd question, feel free to ignore (I ask a lot of Yasuo related questions.) Would he be in the General AU? If so, what would his place be? :3c and What would Riven wear?

ooh yes, perfect question !!! just get ready for a long post whoops. 

ABOUT YASUO’S POSITION: 

by default in the RPing world, Riven ends shipless. this is so i can keep it flexible and include my shipping partners in on things if they want to continue in this specified AU, yknow? BUT, if i were to write this out, or if i had to publish a story, the Big Ending™ would be Yasuo and Riven.

i’ll spare details about how he gets to this point for another post, but his place in the end would be as her fiance’ and is more or less her literal right hand man as a “royal guard.” his primary duty is to be by her side, but she does also task him with missions, whether that be gathering intel or cutting done some conspirators.

you can imagine that anybody who ALREADY had issues with some deflector/traitor storming her way through Noxus prime & seizing the throne will be rather irate with her choosing to make an Ionian her right hand/her husband. knowing this, of course, Riven still employs a more “formal” right hand, informally called the Hand of Noxus by picking a general she deems worthy. i default this to Darius, but that’s open to change depending on the participation of a Darius muse, if at all. 

now, this does enough to stem their tempers, but there will always be descent. i imagine those who have been hunting Yasuo for years will also be pretty displeased to see him reemerge as some “lapdog” for the enemy nation, but he sees this as both his choice to stay by Riven and begin the reparations between two nations. 

AS FOR HER OUTFIT:

the Grand General doesn’t spare expense on appearance, for it’s important to communicate your position. Riven dons somewhat loose fitted clothing; the only armor on her is on her shoulders & stomach, providing enough defense but not sacrificing the mobility she needs to fight. her gauntlet - originally one of the few keepsakes of Coeur - is re-purposed here to be sleeker. 

( the crown is not a part of the outfit, that’s more of a symbolic representation of the ‘woman king’ motif i’ve become known for. )

about Yasuo:

Blood Moon!Yasuo has a relatively humanoid appearance; the only distinct thing(s) about him would be elven/pointed ears and sharpened fangs. i would suppose he has a “true” form, but i have yet to decide on what that’d look like.

Yasuo’s mask is not like the mask in game; his mask bears the appearance of a kitsune ( just like THIS. ) 

his point of origin is not fully determined. the tale goes that he lends his aid to humans he deems worth his time, winning their victories and shedding blood in their honor.

estimated 600+ years old, appears to be in his mid-20s.

about Riven:

this is based on the 2014 Lunar Reveal and goes hand-in-hand with the Tryndamere and Diana skins. the idea is that the three of them are competing for control of the land, and each have their own motives. for Riven, this is to keep her people safe from the likes of the other two. 

earned her nickname ‘Dragonblade’ after, of course, slaying a dragon, a task many considered impossible. it was this feat that put her in charge after the previous general passed from combat.

she travels across the country in hopes of recruiting the leaders to join under her for protection. she treats those who do not in a very Kuvira-like fashion: she will go to war, slay the opposing army, then forcibly take them under her wing. really, she gives you no choice in the matter, except for whether or not you’d like to do it peacefully :^).

about them both: 

after deeming her worthy, Yasuo lends Riven his aide in gaining control of the land. there are times where she need not even raise her blade - by the time she arrives to the scene, he’s done all the dirty work, and the leader is ( usually ) ready to re-negotiate. 

their ‘relationship’ starts as a predominantly sexual thing, one where both satisfy each other. it later develops for time; for Yasuo his intrigue in her fiery personality and her ambition grows. for Riven, his steadfastness, dependability, and loyalty to her strengthens her fondness for him. 

demons enhance inherit ‘sin’. for Riven, her greed becomes more apparent with time, often ordering for wanton destruction when there’s no real need for it. this in turn feeds Yasuo’s own desires for killing, and pleasing her.

i also have a sort of ending scenario with @hvsagi​ where demons can extend their lifespan onto mortals they grow fond to, but it is a one-time process and naturally, few are willing to do it. in this case, Yasuo does it without really realizing it, but decades pass and Riven never ages, never weakens. it is said that there is an eventual collapse from all the warfare, and the two seem to fade out of existence. those who desire their power in times of war, however, may be able to call upon them once again.
