This song is such a beautifully painful song. It’s like a love letter for Hiyori from Yato. But it’s also implying that he somehow knew that this won’t be forever. The day will come when they have to say goodbye, be it from death, or they have to cut their ties for Hiyori’s sake. And still, even if they’re apart, he will still try to reach for her, or just watching her from afar to make sure she’s save and happy. Aaaaah I love this song so much I can’t help but to make this angsty art. (the part of lyrics I used on the pictures is the most hurts for me)
