I don't think I've ever drawn all of these guys together? I actually.. I forgot to add Wick. He deserved to be there, but he's not there. Next time! I mean half of y'all have no idea who I'm talking about anyway and that's okay. Anyhow, yeah. Gale, Jacky, Beel, Hours, Yatti, Herman and Alf. They do travel together for a little while and I'm looking forward to doodling more of that someday because I frickin' love epic journeys with weird fantasy people.

Yatti is powered by pure enthusiasm.

I think this should be canon. I think Yatti should be able to pull things well beyond her weight limit because she is a happy little otter-cat.

Also I woke up today and thought ‘YOU KNOW WHAT? It would be precious if Yatti pulled their big wagon around for them.’

I kinda lost my oof for this because I don’t like the angle, BUT, while drawing it I got to hash out a first draft of Tinsel’s backstory. I tried to pick something that fits Tinsel’s party favor theme and feels like a thought-out antagonist instead of a taped on baddie.

She was part of a traveling Tonics road show. Tinsel got booted out of the spot light by another cat with a 'special’ spark but a lousy act. Her salesman is too eager to replace her, because she’s not the easiest person to work with. She gets bitter after a while, who wouldn’t?

On down the road she meets Hours and Beel and they hit it off. Tinsel feels like she’s found a place she can be useful. She knows LOTS about the Cats Way from her travels, and she can get things done!

But she doesn’t know how to share the spot light, and tends to act on her emotions. She starts lashing out. At first it’s tolerable, then it gets really bad, really fast. Herman calls her out on it. That goes poorly. Jacky intervenes. Tinsel is sent away feeling pretty bitter and downtrodden because she feels like she’s been displaced again, and not fully what she did wrong.
