Read what happened in episode 16

So you're telling me that Koga allowed Moroha to be sold and cared for by this shady ass female wolf demon as her teacher

The same man who once loved Kagome so much (even if she didn't love him back he still cared about her). OG Koga wouldn't trust anyone with Moroha but himself.

Sunrise throws character development out the window once again.

Yawaragi (Moroha´s master): What? Sorry I didn´t hear you, I was too busy selling that weird girl that was on our tribe

Interesting now to realize that the reason Moroha doesn't remember killing Tokotsu was because she was Beniyasha at that time...and evidently her memories while in that state are gone or obscured...

While we could've guessed this we really weren't ever told her memories are omitted. Now seeing she only just now remembered killing some birds of paradise and harming her master, its pretty clear.

Shes not herself when using it, but it does seem like she's gained some control of it over time...Or maybe the control is thanks to the pearl.

Yeah, so I saw some shippers on twitter say some ridiculous anti was gonna think Yawaragi was Kagura because of "wind powers" and I had to smile.

Because they were right.

I do. I am that ridiculous anti. 🤩

Just to clear, think I don't think she's literally Kagura or a reincarnation. She's a Kagura representation or call out. And here's why:

Not just wind powers, tho obviously.

The original chinese meaing of the kanji of her name means southern wind.

As @theidolizer has been speculating in her theories about episode 15, they did a switcharoo with the characters/parents.

In this case, Kagura is InuKag and vice versa.

Yawaragi has an appearance that calls to mind Inuyasha especially if you remember the injury Sesshomaru gave him. So she makes you think of Sesshomaru too.

Her mentor status could be likened to a parent.

Konton is my Kagome representation in my parents/perils theory. It needs updating but the Konton section is there and adequately explains the connection.

In the episode Konton parallels Kagura in slaughtering the rat demons like she did the wolf demon tribe. Yawaragi mirrors Inuyasha in coming across the aftermath and being disgusted.

There was a lot of talk about losing one heart and being a monster not a demon. I think this a reflection of how Kagura might have felt about herself.

The rat armour was an analog to Naraku holding her heart hostage. Both behaved selfishly and hurt others because of that bondage.

At the end she was so close to freedom but died anyway.

The way Yawaragi had one arm uncovered reminded me of the way Kagura wore her kimonos.

It fits my Wuxing theory with the focus on the yellow and green flowers at the end. And also the mountain location. Yellow and mountains belong to the earth phase that is assigned to the twins mom. Green is the wood/Kagome phase. I will link to the Wuxing theory later. I have been editing it.

There were probably more callouts to Kagura but I don't remember the nitty gritty details of Inuyasha because it's been so long since I have seen it. Please let me know if you saw any.

en este episodio solo logro saber un poco mas del pasado de Moroha, después de 3 años se vuelve a encontrar con su maestra que la crió desde que era una bebe aunque Moroha contara los sucesos de hace 3 años cuando ella fue vendida por ella 

Yawaragi que pone a prueba a Moroha debe ir al fondo de la caverna y derrotar a varios demonios y así convertirse en como Kodoku el demonio mas fuerte y si superaba la prueba le daría  la espada Kurikaramaru siendo esta su ultima prueba para ella y antes de eso le menciono que no puede usar su carmesí en esta prueba que se las ingeniera de otra manera usando imaginación e ingenio, Moroha hizo caso a su maestra y logro salir de ese desafío, ya en la salida ve que no se encuentra su maestra 

Yawaragi fue con Jyubei mencionando que tenia ella pocas posibilidades de sobrevivir en esa caverna y Jyubei agrega un 10% a 20 sabiendo que le había sellado el carmesí y Yawaragi menciona que como ella un cuarto demonio mitad demonio y humano en caso si fuera completo demonio seria todo un caos si escucha su corazón pues no perderia el control pero Moroha es bastante diferente en si cuando ella se vea en momentos de vida o muerte pues la conquistara la sangre de demonio y cuanto mas se transforme ira perdiendo el corazón y Moroha no sabe nada al respecto sobre ese carmesi solo lo usa así nada mas en momento difíciles siendo un gran problema

Yawaragi quiere deshacerse de la armadura cada vez se ajusta a su cuerpo ya que en si es una armadura maldita como detalle ella anda pasando por varias casa de apuesta para conseguir el dinero para lograr la llave y por cierto ella habia perdido un juego ante Jyubei entregándole una de sus armas y Moroha aparece molesta porque no la había esperado y se enoja con ella por lo de las apuestas deja de ser su alumna, Jyubei le recuerda de lo que había platicado y le ofrece 15 Ryou por salir de la casa de apuesta, armadura de la rata de hierro y por lo perdido de una ronda ademas de Moroha y ella sin pensarlo pues la termina vendiendo 

volviendo a la actualidad Jawaragi menciona que encontró el pueblo pero todos habían sido masacrados por Konton y el posee la llave el le dará la llave a cambio que mate a Moroha ,Moroha le pide a Setsuna y Towa que no intervenga esta es una pelea personal entre su maestra y ella, en la parte inicial de la pelea su maestra totalmente superior a Moroha usa mucho la fuerza bruta y Moroha al ver la superioridad usaría su carmesí a lo que su maestra le dice tonta mencionando que deja perder su corazón su miedo le domina y empieza darle varios golpes a Moroha mencionando sino dominaba el miedo de su cuerpo y corazón no sienten dolor tampoco entendería el dolor del oponente y un monstruo asi no tiene derecho a vivir 

Yawaragi sigue diciendo que hay cosas que no ha cambiado que era pequeña ya que un entrenamiento le había prohibido el carmesi y Moroha lastimando a su maestra y acabar con los demonios y ahi es el origen porque tiene la armadura maldita resulto siendo estafada por un demonio del lugar que la portaba

Yawaragi usara su poder vientos dispersores y Konton aparece de manera repentina para ver ese momento, se vendria el momento de los choques de su poderes entre ambas y Moroha recordó lo que le dijo antes que entrara a la caverna logrando asi contrarrestar el ataque y regresarlo y Yawaragi sostiene a Konton por detras ambos recibir el impacto pero Konton tenia una perla azul lo cual logra salir y ella recibe todo el impacto de lleno y Yawaragi por ultimo termina diciendo a Moroha que tenga fuerza en el corazón y termina por morir

Moroha se pregunta quien es ella en si que no es demonio, ni humana o mitad demonio no sabia a donde ir y por eso es que esta sola alborotos y no tenia otra manera de vivir, Setsuna para animarle le menciona hagas los que hagas la forma de vivir depende ti y Towa se une animar agregando que ya ninguna esta sola y las 3 se van del lugar

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon ‒ Episode 16

If you couldn't tell, this was yet another episode of Yashahime that made me absolutely furious with how poorly written and executed it was.

In other words, absolutely nothing of importance was learned, the girls are not one step closer to any of their goals, and Moroha inadvertently murdered Yawaragi for no reason. It is positively stunning when Yawaragi dies, and the show has the gall to play the moment off like some huge, emotional payoff…except Moroha is more or less fine by the time the credits roll.
