@officialinuyasha you seem very willing to try to send people after me on Facebook, as well as spreading lies, and even getting upset when you get any criticism on your actions, but very unwilling to talk to me yourself, or answer any of my criticism.

As anyone else can tell you, those aren’t serious death threats and merely me trying to express that I will not allow people who make me intensely uncomfortable to interact with content I make for fun. It is by no means a real threat and the worst I will actually do to you is block you. I do not send hate, I do not send death threats, and all this blog is really meant to do is bring criticism to someone with a platform that I feel is being misused.

There is nothing inherently wrong with criticism but there is something wrong with misrepresenting people and the things they do and say.

Kagome Higurashi’s Birth-Day CALCULATED

After a lot of studying, asking Teachers from Japan, variations of the manga, novelization and episodes for lunar cycles I believe I have come up with definitive answer for “Kagome’s Birth-Day” without dismissing it as “they never said her bday”. Making it as accurate as you can be. Because there actually is enough evidence over-all that can pin point the exact date.

First of all there are two different versions of the manga, one says 1997 and the other says 1996. The one that says 1997 is actually incorrect, so we will use the correct one 1996 for this matter.

Kagome at the beginning of the series says that it’s her birthday, it’s Spring - which would be in April for Japan. She also is 15 years old. In Chapter 35 they are in their Summer clothes which means they are in Midterms. Now, our member, Hiroyuki is actually an English teacher in Japan who has mentioned the terms for schooling in our group. So Kagome definitely fits the bill for being in Junior High School

Japan runs a Three Term System - The Japanese school year begins in April and ends in March and is divided into three semesters. The school year starts in April. So the first semester begins in April and ends near late July. The Second term starts in September. But Kagome doesn’t say “It’s the first day of the second semester!” and it isn’t Fall. In fact in the fourth volume she mentions it’s summertime. Which points to April, and June is the beginning of Summer. Hiroyuki specifically states it’s the first day of school, being April 1st. So that’s the definitive month for Spring - The beginning of the school year.

So we know two things so far, 1996, April, first semester of school and in Japan. Another factor that people question way to much and all the time, they question it incorrectly is actually her “Uniform” -

I have seen people argue about it saying Kagome is starting her second semester, that would mean after my calculations Kagome’s birthday would be September 24th. BUT a second semester in the first episode which is very untrue. In episode 11 we can assume that is the last day of Winter Wear and that it is May 31st. In Episode 12 they all switch to their Summer Wear - June 1st. We can also use Mayu as a great example. Mayu Ikeda was stated in episode 12 and Chapter 35 by Souta that she had passed away 6 months earlier. The series does have it’s own regular time jumps and sometimes we are given hints as to how much time has passed in between episodes, but I’ll explain that in a bit how that plays out for her birth-day. In this episode everyone has changed into their summer uniforms, meaning that Kagome is at-least in June now. That means Kagome has been going to school for two months at episode 12/Chapter 35. That means Mayu died in December which matches her attire. Kagome says “Why is she wearing a down jacket, it’s summer isn’t it?!”

Mayu is ten years old and she was an elementary school student.

In real life, Elementary school students wear casual clothes very similar to Mayu’s with big jackets. You can see the kid on the far left is actually wearing a big red jacket just like her’s.

They are only wearing their summer uniform for 3 months until October 1st. They get into their Summer uniforms June 1st. Again, this would contradict her - saying it’s her second semester, than her first which is undoubtedly April.

If it’s easier to explain this way, Kagome is wearing her school uniform that is long sleeved April, May, and then June 1st. For then three months it’s her short sleeved uniform then until October, until June again which means they are usually wearing their long sleeved uniform for 8 months! [Well not really because of their breaks in between but you get my point] A majority of the time they are wearing that version. That explains why Kagome is almost always seen wearing her long sleeved uniform.

Then there is also THIS line -only- in the Novelization of InuYasha where it’s stated to be Autumn ONLY in the Feudal Era. While in the anime and manga it’s spring. But for the novelization’s “autumn” this is normal, traveling 500 years seasons and weather do change each year. We do have Global Warming as to current date. 500 years ago it was completely different due to distance and tilts.

Have as much of a headache as I do? It doesn’t end there. Now, I remember seeing the moon a lot in the anime and manga - This is gonna help me out.

On Episode 3 Kagome’s Grandpa says “You were missing for three full days”

At this point the episode is at Sunset and is becoming night time. Episode 4 starts at night time continuing on the same day. What do we have here?

Here we go again. This is where we can define everything right down to an exact date and figure out what Kagome really is. Using pre-recorded weather patterns and moon cycles in JAPAN as of 1996

My calculations for her birthday are - April 1st, April 30th - Kagome is a definitive April born.

The best one being -

Full Moon, in April 1996 is actually the 4th! That means that three days earlier from what Grandpa Higurashi stated is in fact exactly April 1st.

Full Moon, in May 1996 is

May 3rd. Taking three days would be April 30th!

Let’s narrow it down further.

“Children who have their 6th birthday on or before April 1 enter the first grade of elementary school of that year.”

As we check the way that schools are calculated Kagome would have to be turning 15 on April 30th!

What are the odds of us being able to figure all of that?! I mean, Kagome states it’s her birthday and it just so happens to land on the first month of school being April!

Kagome’s date of birth confirmed April 30th 1981.

It's National Superhero Day

Did you know that Rumiko Takahashi, well known for making InuYasha, Ranma 1/2, and the now made anime MAO - was a fan of Ryoichi Ikegami, the artist for the Japanese Spider-Man manga. She would draw Spider-Man in her school years. This suit that I'm wearing is based on Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark Broadway show. I commissioned @gunheaddesign for the pattern, who did great work.

The original costume design was done by Japanese artist Eiko Ishioka - R.I.P. - 1/21/2012

Toby Gard's Involvement in Tomb Raider

"Toby Gard was responsible for the design and original concept of Tomb Raider. Not only was he lead graphic artist for the game but he was also responsible for the creation of Lara Croft - easily one of the most recognisable videogame characters in history."

After Tomb Raider - he left at the disapproval of how the marketing team portrayed Lara Croft into the realm of pin-up and erotica which is something he disapproved of. Lara was allowed to wear swimsuits and feel sexy but she wasn't supposed to be objectified and sold off only for eye candy like they ran in the marketing campaigns.

Note: Lara has been wearing swimsuits since the early Tomb Raider games, not just in Tomb Raider Legend - It's not the outfits, it's the pin-up images he didn't like.

Lara has a swimsuit in lore because she has a pool in her mansion.

The idea was to create a female character who was a heroine, you know, cool, collected, in control, that sort of thing. The problem with those other games is that the female characters are actually there for purely exploitative purposes. I know you could argue that Lara with her comic book style over-the top figure is exploitative, but I don't agree. I think it's ridiculous to say that portraying stylised people is degrading. You can represent an over the top hero figure by augmenting characteristics like a jutting jaw, wide shoulders, thin waist etc. and that is not degrading to men. It may well be a stereotype, but it seems to me that people are overanalysing this whole thing. It's pretty simple, if women in a game are only there to be the equivalent of quiz show floozies then they are being portrayed in a sexist way."

You left Core originally over concerns that Lara was getting "sexed" up. She still seems that way in Legend - how do you feel about that?

It wasn't about her boobs getting bigger. She was always designed to look good - people's psychology is that they like attractive characters on both sexes. What I objected to was the marketing which represented Lara in a way that was nothing like the character. At the time I didn't like that and it prompted me to want to retain control of characters I created in the future, so that's why I left.

He is mentioning the pin-up and erotic campaigns that led to the rumors like the Nude Raider Code and Play Boy magazines, not her outfits or the way that she dressed in-game. Because Ad Lara is not the same as In-game Lara.

Regardless of this, Tomb Raider continued on it's success without him, for awhile.

He could just do it, and that helped a lot, because before he came along we were a bit confused about what we should be doing, and it was hard to get any decisions made about Lara. We could see that Lara is athletic, but we didn't have any real details: we were asking things like 'How does she walk?' which was kind of tricky. I'm a sucker for bows, and I wanted to represent her as an almost mythical figure, like some injured Ronin against a harsh but beautiful world.

I'm a game designer and animator by trade, who just does a bit of art on the side, so knew I couldn't possibly stack up with the accomplished artists who have gone before me by trying to render the image realistically. I chose to go the natural media route and used Painter 12 to imitate an ink wash/watercolor look getting a lot of texture but with little detail.” – Toby Gard

I will be writing about Toby Gard and his involvement in Tomb Raider once in for all to clear the confusion between fans it was never about outfits like swimsuits. It was about Marketing. He didnt approve of Ad Lara at all. Video game Lara is not Ad Lara. He even said it himself that the marketing was the thing he had a problem with.

Its insane how many people are gaslit into believing Lara's outfits are sexual when it was the Ads and Playboy that were the problem

Since everyone was asking for the photos from Ronin Expo 2023 - Here they are!

The outfit is the officially licensed Robe of the Firerat from Great Eastern Entertainment. It's cel shaded and so is Tessaiga. I painted it with liquitex and custom mixed colors myself to match the anime shading. I picked purple ribbons instead to match the necklace and in the manga sometimes it was colored purple/blue. The very end of the ribbon isn't tied because of how they placed the spots to put them in the sleeves. Maybe I'll instead cut pieces and sew them in individually - I'm not sure about that yet though if I want to.

The necklace is dyed tigers eye and the magatama are plastic from the licensed necklace by GE. I made the InuKag locket by looking at several screenshots from the second movie - making a definitive picture and redrawing the entire art extended past what is seen in the movie so it could fit into any locket size. With real leather suede cording. It was the most accurate I could make it.

The wig was done by Alichii from 2005 in Katie Bair's style. It's actually made from 3 wigs. I'm going to be getting a new InuYasha wig done that's cel shaded eventually to go with the rest of the theme.

The footpads were made by me. There was no time to order adhesive feet pads so I traced my feet onto EVA foam, cut it out and used puff paint to put dots on the bottoms for traction. Then... I poured tons of spirit gum and brushed it on top. Placed my feet on them and they worked perfectly for me. I should do a video tutorial on it.

Untransformed Tessaiga was fun to do. I looked at the Toonami figures and cut out chips from the blade based on that with a Dremel. Then shaded it from looking at anime screenshots I took.

I didn't bring my transformed Tessaiga. But I made that one entirely myself.

I didn't bring the comically hilarious floating eyebrows because I couldn't find my silicone real hair ones that I made xD I might have to remake them. But I did bring Myouga that I made. The ears this time are animatronic cat ears from cosgear. I used to use necomimi. They never sold white ears like they said they would so I had the idea and extra shortpile fur to swap the black fabric for white. Anyway, the ears are pretty big and look closer to how Rumiko sensei drew them recently for a Yashahime cover and there's fur in them like Shiina's art. So I guess it worked out either way. Oh, and Kagome's backpack.

Predicting Yashahime via C-PTSD flashbacks [InuYasha Volume 57]

It seems that I created artwork image edit via a flashback because of my Complex PTSD depicting the overall plot of Yashahime roughly 6 months before its official announcement in 2019 These come to me randomly in the day. The answers of Inu-Yasha-Yashahime. I will explain what this image means now that I isolated myself with my own thoughts no matter how loud they are.

It started from chapter 559 "The Battle with Root Head"... Kagome was in her miko robes with Inu-Yasha. He's happy 'I'm with Kagome!'

and later on in Yashahime 'We have Moroha'

Inu-Yasha is genuinely happy here, smiling. InuYasha, Kagome and Moroha ... 'Keh! I have MY family!'

They're within the Black Pearl the same as in Yashahime

The story continues on and the leftover licensed media arises "The Day After Tomorrow" [Asatte]

With Sesshoumaru next to the butterflies that were on Rin's robe. We know that they become outwardly a couple in Yashahime

Those two. The butterflies - Those are Towa and Setsuna. I know Towa didnt have the Butterfly of Dreams [Yume no Kouchou] but it affected her also when she saw how it affected her sister Setsuna and thats why there is two butterflies.

The Butterfly of Dreams also was tied to Rin. The design on Rin's robe has changed slightly In Yashahime she is wearing two yellow butterflies close together rather the stand alone butterflies.

Lastly, the orb on the left of the image is none other than Setsuna's golden pearl. Because we know that the gold pearl goes hand in hand with the Butterfly of Dreams and thats why it's drawn parallel from the pearl.

Perhaps I will make the image a custom slipcase for the untranslated Chapter 559 to go between my InuYasha and Yashahime manga.
