So many people in the comments whining about how they don't like thasmin and feel it was 'forced'... Just say you only like romance when it's straight and go. They have worked this in from at least season 12 (first time it was really clear about Yaz's feelings), if not earlier (if you know where to look, some people have noticed parts in season 11 that are romantic Thasmin).
This is the first romantic storyline between the doctor and a companion who is the same gender (or really doctor X anyone of the same gender), so this is a big deal for LGBTQ+ people, especially those of us who have grown up with the show. Please be respectful.
