I read an essay today that included this quote. It made me really think about life and how we can't move forward unless we do it ourselves. - - - The essay was about self-reliance and just how we should be free to move forward and not try to conform to the views of society or by our family and friends. - - - I feel that if someone was trying to make you become a person that you aren't, that's not only hindering your progress, but also can lower your self esteem. I say this from experience. - - - Don't try to be someone that isn't you. You are needed just the way you are; the way that you want to be. Don't let others tell you that you need to change.
