Jimin had been silent when _____ had shared her story with him. He felt like an idiot, on the verge of tears as she described heaven to him, a place he knew well himself, but that seemed so foreign at times in her story. She spoke of heaven as if it was someone she loved; someone she loved who broke her heart.
And when she had finished, tears fell from Jimin's eyes, and she merely stared back at him. He had been so embarrassed by his reaction to her story that he didn't say anything. He had averted his gaze as he wiped the tears from his face, and when he turned back to her she had moved behind her desk and was organizing some papers.
He should have told her that he would have stopped them. That he never would have let them take her wings from her. He should have said what he truly felt; that he would never let anything bad happen to her, not like Azazel, or he guessed Yoongi now, had. He should have said that he would never leave her. Because he wasn't Yoongi, he needed her to know that. He worried that she might think him the same, the only other male angel in her story since.
But he couldn't get the words to come out, and soon she was telling him that she would see him tomorrow, and then he was materializing on Earth, somewhere near Cameron's house.
Now, it was too late to tell her how he felt. To truly say aloud what he knew in his heart to be true; that she could rip the wings from his back and have them as her own. He would give her that, if it meant she would be happy.
He knew it was foolish, he wondered if she would do anything at all for him, let alone give a part of herself up, but he couldn't deny that this was how he felt. It was a strange feeling, when he had no prior experience with.
He wasn't sure how it had gotten to this point. Even as she described her Fall, it didn't scare him. He would have gladly fallen by her side, had he been made at that time. Every day it seemed he may Fall regardless, though he would stand alone in heaven. He wondered if she would comfort him the way Yoongi had her.
As he looked at her, he liked to think that she would.
Now, they walked side by side through a part of Hell Jimin had not been to before. _____ herself was not very familiar with it, but Jay had said there was a demon around here that might be able to help them with Dragas.
_____ had hesitated before telling Jimin he was a powers demon. He had to admit that he wasn't thrilled about coming face to face with a demon designed with the exact intent and purpose of ridding the universe of angels, but he would never say no to her. He wondered if she knew that. He wondered if that was why she asked.
Jay walked ahead of them, leading the way. He had said something about having powers demons as friends, but Jimin wasn't paying much attention as he looked around the courtyard. It was like a university, he realized. Darker, dirtier, but like the universities Cameron had been touring lately. A maze of buildings, teaming with life as the powers demons moved around.
Jay stopped in front of a door on the second floor of a large building and turned to look at Jimin and _____ before knocking. It was a coded knock, two quick raps, a pause, and then a third. Jimin could tell _____ was saving the information, as she mimicked the knocks with her fist by her side. He wondered if she had a reason to remember that knock or if she just wanted to be thorough.
The lock on the door clicked, causing the door to creak open, and for a moment Jimin considered that perhaps this was a trap. Perhaps, Jay had figured out that Jimin was an angel, and he had brought him here to kill him. He looked at _____ out of the corner of his eyes, and tried to remind himself that she had asked him to come today. He was pretty sure that she wouldn't do anything to put him danger.
Then again, maybe she was in on this, and he had let himself fall victim to a demon after all.
No, she wasn't like that, he was sure. So he followed her into the room and tried not to seem too relieved when he was greeted with what looked like a motel room in need of maid service instead of the murder room he had imagined in his prior anxiety.
A demon emerged from a smaller room, and again Jimin worked to maintain his composure. The demon was bigger than most that he had interacted with, and he tried not to think about the fact that he had to look up at him.
It was impossible not to immediately look at his eyes. One was glamoured to look human, a dark brown color, nothing to really pay attention to, but the other was demonic, a black hole filled with nothingness.
Jimin realized he was staring, when the powers demon meet his gaze, and he tried to look away as casually as possible.
"Fucking angel," the demon said, and Jimin tensed, almost reaching for _____'s hand on instinct. "Got me in the eye with a heavenly blade, and I haven't been able to glamour it since."
"Looks bad ass," Jay said, taking a seat at a small table in the corner of the room.
The demon shook his head, before turning his attention to _____. "Jay said you have a blade of your own to deal with."
"Yes," she started, moving further into the room. "Dragas got his hands on one and we've heard rumors there's angel magic in the underworld as well. We can't let him get his hands on it."
"You know who has the angel magic?"
She nodded her head. "A demon named Taehyung. Have you heard of him?"
"No, but I have a feeling that's not what you really want to ask me."
“Jay said you might be looking to retire."
The demon smiled at this, running his hand through his light brown hair as he did so. "I'm not interested in finding out what happens the next time I come in contact with a heavenly blade."
"Me neither," she said. "How does being a demon of dominion sound for your next career move?"
"It sounds like you're promising things you have no right to promise."
"Me and the boss figured it out," Jay spoke up, spinning a knife on the table. "Anyone who kills Dragas becomes the demon for that dominion."
"So, you want me to kill Dragas?"
"It doesn't have to be you," she said. "I'll be more than happy to rid the underworld of him, Jungkook has already asked me if he could several times."
"Well then Jungkook would be the Demon of Greed, not me."
"True, but whoever kills him will give the dominion to you, on my authority."
"And why would Jungkook give up that power?" the demon asked, pouring a glass of a dark brown substance, Jimin wasn't familiar enough with to identify.
"He's a good dog, Namjoon" Jay laughed, earning a glare from _____.
Namjoon seemed to consider this for a moment, before turning to look at Jimin. "And you, the quiet one. If you killed Dragas you would give up your new found power just because _____ asked you to."
Jimin looked over at _____, though he already knew the answer. He would do anything for her. "Yes."
"Interesting," he poured another glass, and handed it to _____. "Do you torture your dogs often?"
"Only when they ask," Jay spoke up, earning a glare from _____.
"I'm about to in a moment, if Jay doesn't remember his manners."
"Namjoon's one of us now, we don't need manners."
Namjoon laughed at this. "I don't think Jay was tortured enough."
"I agree."
Jay smiled at this, wrapping an arm around _____. "I wasn't tortured at all. None of the dogs are."
"Interesting," Namjoon said, before taking a sip of his drink. "It seems to be an effective method, if the quiet one and Jungkook would do whatever you asked, even once they had the same amount of power as you."
"The quiet one is named Jimin," she said, before motioning to Jay. "And this one would do the same. I only surround myself with people I trust."
"Do you trust me?" Namjoon asked, motioning to her untouched drink. "You could prove it."
_____ looked down at the glass. "Will you help me take down Dragas in exchange for your retirement?"
"Will I live long enough to see retirement if I do so?"
"You know I cannot promise you that."
"No, but a little optimism would be nice."
She smiled at this, picking up her drink as she did so. "I think we'll make a great team," she said before taking a sip.
Jimin fought the urge to rush to her side, and ensure that the drink was safe. He knew she was stronger than him, she could handle herself, but ever since Gaki had removed her jacket, he had been even more on edge than usual. He should have stopped Gaki, he didn't want to say the same thing about Namjoon.
"I agree," Namjoon smiled, before raising his glass in mock toast. "To taking down a demon for my own personal gain and your own."
When you materialized in your office a few hours after meeting with Namjoon, you immediately turned to Jimin. You hadn't been able to stop thinking about what he had said. With Jay, off on Earth tempting the masses, you couldn't stop yourself from voicing what you had only dared think for the last few weeks.
"Did you mean it?" You asked, stepping towards Jimin. "When Namjoon asked if you would kill Dragas, did you mean it?"
Jimin blushed at this, looking down at his feet. It made your heart flutter in a way you weren't sure was possible until recently. You wanted to reach out to him, but you stood your ground for fear that he had only said what he said to blend in.
"Would you kill him for me?" you asked, your voice quieter than before.
"Yes," Jimin whispered back.
"Why would you do that for me?" you asked, stepping even closer to him. "That's not part of your contract, you don't have to do that."
"I know," he said looking back up at you. "I would do it though."
"Your soul-"
He shook his head at this. "I don't care. I can't let him kill you."
"But you cried at my story. It scared you."
His forehead furrowed at this. "I wasn't scared," he said.
"Maybe you should be."
He shook his head and closed the distance between the two of you. For a moment you let yourself believe that he was going to kiss you, but you had learned better than to expect that at this point. Jimin was good and he had no intentions of changing that.
Even saying he would kill Dragas meant nothing more than you were the lesser of two evils. Angels were to rid the world of demons, it was a war that had existed for much of eternity. Even if it made your heart cry out with joy, you couldn't get your hopes up.
Jimin was good.
"I am not afraid of you or what you have been through," he said, reaching for your hand. "Maybe I should be, but I am not. I couldn't stop heaven, I couldn't stop Yoongi, I could stop Gaki, but I will not let Dragas hurt you. Do you understand?"
You nodded your head, looking down at where his hand intertwined with yours. You pushed your hopes down again, but it was harder as you felt his thumb caress the back of your hand.
"Do you know what scares me?" He asked, causing you to meet his eyes again.
"Namjoon," you smiled, teasing him for the way he seemed to shrink beside you once the powers demon appeared.
He laughed at that. "Yeah, kind of, but that wasn't what I was thinking."
"What were you thinking, angel?"
"I'm scared that I would do anything for you."
"I don't think killing Dragas is a sin. They'd probably give you a medal."
He shook his head. "No, they don't give awards. It breeds pride."
"My mistake," you reply with a laugh.
"I'm serious."
"No medals; I believe you."
He shook his head. "No, I mean I would do anything."
"Oh."
"Oh?"
"What do you want me to say?"
He sighs, bringing his free hand up to run through his blond hair. "I don't know. You've been saying a number of things to me since we met, and now you have nothing to say?"
"I was under the impression that you were upset by the things I said."
He shook his head, and pulled his hand away from you. "I don't know, I guess I started to miss it."
You reached back out for his hand, pulling it close to you. "I've been cruel?"
"No," he said, his eyes flicking down to your lips for a brief moment.
You smile at this, bring his hand up to your lips, and placing a kiss to the back of it. "Do you pray for me, angel?"
He smiles back at this. "I don't know where I would begin."
"Hey, daddy, it's me, your baby boy."
He frowns at this, but you can't wipe the smile from your face. You let your heart fill with hope as you look back at him.
"I've been very bad with this demon friend of mine."
"I'm sure he'd love that," Jimin deadpanned.
"Oh yeah, haven't you head? He's a big fan of mine."
"Is that so?"
You nod your head, before stepping closer to Jimin removing all space between the two of you. You can feel the way his heart beats inside of his chest at this distance and you think for a moment that yours might be beating at the same exact pace.
"I want to do bad things to you, baby boy. Don't you remember?"
"Yes," he breathed.
"And you?"
He blinked back at you, his mouth parting slightly, but no words coming out.
"Do you want to sin with me? I fear there's no going back if you do."
"I thought I made it clear that I would do anything for you," he said, his voice a low whisper.
You smiled at this, leaning in towards his ear. "Then take what you want, baby boy. I'm yours."
"I-"
"Yes?" You move back to look up at him, and smile at how innocent he looks in this moment. So innocent, yet so ready to give himself to you, his demon.
He was silent for a moment, the sound of your own heart beating so loudly in your ears, you hoped he couldn't hear it. "I don't know what to do," he admitted.
"No? You haven't dreamt of this moment? Because I have."
Your smile grows larger as his ears turn red at this, his gaze darkening at the same time.
"I think about you all the time."
"And what do you think about?"
His eyes flicker down to your lips again. You decide that toying with him any longer would be torture to both of you, so you reach up, your hand softly touching the back of his neck, and pull him into a kiss.
He's hesitant at first, and you try to hold back from devouring him as you have wanted since the moment he walked into that club. But then he's kissing you back, a little sloopily, which you can't help but smile at, and you give into the passion you feel for him. His arms wrap around you tightly, holding you close, almost as if he fears you will slip away from him. The feeling of being in his arms, your lips against his, is euphoric, and for a moment you let yourself think that this is what heaven felt like at one time.
When you force yourself to pull away from him, he's breathing heavily and looking at you as if you hold the world in your hands. You think you might be looking at him exactly the same way.
You move to kiss him again, when you sense someone about to materialize in the room. You remove yourself from his embrace, straightening yourself out, just in time for Jungkook to materialize in the office. He looks between the two of you, his eyes flicking to your lips and then back up to you, with a raised eyebrow.
"We found Taehyung," he starts, a smirk on his face. "We can deal with that later though, if you prefer."
You glare at him for this. "No, we need to end this now."
You reach for Jimin's hand, Jungkook's smirk deepening at the movement, and then you're dematerializing from the room.
Jimin realizes that he is supposed to be focused right now. He is the one after all that Taehyung got the feathers from, so it's his job to ensure they've correctly identified the demon. But all he can think about is the way _____ felt pressed against his body and how he wants it to happen again. As quickly as possible.
Jungkook had them materialize outside of Gaki's dominion, as to avoid being seen, but the side effect of such a move, is that they have been walking for a very long time, and the need in Jimin's chest has not subsided.
_____ kept looking over at him, clearly aware of the things running through the angel's mind, and it only added fuel to the fire he felt. He needed to be as far away from her as possible if he was get anything accomplished.
Jungkook stops outside of a small house in the middle of an empty field and knocks. He looks back at Jimin just as the door to the house opens, revealing the demon the angel gave his feathers too.
"What the fuck? How did you get here, angel?"
And it's then that Jimin realizes they have messed up. Of course, Taehyung would be confused to see Jimin in hell. And of course he knew what he was. And as Jimin turns to look at _____, he realizes that she is staring at Jungkook, who is staring at Jimin in turn.
"That's how you knew who had the angel feathers," he says, after what feels like hours to Jimin but was likely only a slightly longer pause of silence than normal.
"Jungkook," _____ started. "we will talk about this later, but right now, I need to talk to him."
"Me?" Taehyung questions, as _____ points at him. "Why me?"
"A demon wants me dead, and you might be the only one in Hell who currently has the power to do so."
"Not true," Jungkook interjects. "you've been keeping the other one at your side or at mine."
"Not now," she hisses back at him, her gaze firm and dark in a way Jimin had never seen.
"I'm not going to give you the feathers. I did a job and got paid."
"Give me those feathers, and you can have twice as many once I ensure my safety," _____ said, moving closer to Taehyung.
Jungkook snorted at this. "If he hasn't fallen by then."
"Leave," she said, turning quickly towards the principality demon. "Leave or get me killed, your choice."
"Don't be dramatic," he responded, with an eye roll. "If you cared about your life, you wouldn't have him in Hell every fucking day just to fulfill some fucking fetish you have for your past life."
"Enough," Jimin spoke up, finally feeling bold enough to stand up to the demons. "We came here to do a job, not fight."
"Oh, now you're big and bad cause you got fucked?"
"Leave," _____ roared, smoke swirling around her hands, as she forced Jungkook's body rigid. "Go home and lick at your wounds, bunny. I do not have time to coddle you."
Jimin's eyes widened as he watched Jungkook try and fight against _____'s power, but to no avail. His body continued to tense against his will, the smoke around _____ growing larger as her eyes turned pitch black. Jimin stood frozen, looking at the two unsure of what to do. He briefly remembered Taehyung, and checked to ensure he hadn't left, only to find him looking as shocked as Jimin was sure he did.
"Fuck you," Jungkook managed to spit out, his own eyes turning completely black, showing that he was using power, despite it having no effect on her.
He wasn't exactly sure what willed him forward, but Jimin was reaching out to her before he could stop himself. "_____," he said softly. "it's okay."
And then she was turning to look at him, and though her eyes were darker than any night sky he had ever seen, he could see it. Her anger, her sadness, her fear, they were all there, and maybe that's what made him intertwine their fingers. Soon the smoke that surrounded her dissipated and Jungkook gasped loudly for air behind them.
As soon as _____'s eyes were glamoured again, she turned back to Taehyung as if nothing had happened. Not acknowledging Jimin or Jungkook behind her.
"What do you want for the feathers?"
"Anything?" he asked, a slight fear in his eyes. Jimin wondered if the same fear was in his or Jungkook's, though he dare not turn around to check the principality demon.
"Anything," she said.
"I'm nothing in Gaki's dominion, make me a archdemon of lust and you can have the feathers."
"Done," she said, reaching her hand out to shake Taehyung's. "I'll come and get you when everything is in order, and until then do not tell anyone about our deal."
He pulled the feathers out of a small bag strapped to his chest. "Business and a show. I cannot wait to live in your dominion."
"Don't get used to it," she said, passing the feathers back to Jimin. "We fight like this once a decade, so you'll have to wait another ten years for him to piss me off."
"Piss you off? You piss me off," Jungkook finally spoke up, earning a side-glance from _____.
"Every decade?" Jimin asked as he and _____ turned to walk towards Jungkook.
"Like fucking clockwork," she grumbled, before reaching for his hand and taking them home.

Summary: When Jimin started questioning his place in the world as an angel, you took it upon yourself to show him the darker side of life. Suddenly, falling from grace doesn’t seem so bad.
Previous | Next
Business. That’s what she had told Jimin. Only two days after they found out that Dragas had a heavenly blade, Jimin now found himself seated at a new demon’s table.
Gaki. The demon of gluttony. Jungkook had warned Jimin that this was not a safe dominion, which was just about all the angel could think about as he sat across from a rather grotesque demon. He had no eyes, yet it seemed like he was constantly staring at him. The worst part of it all was that this was entirely Jimin’s fault. The demon he had sold his feathers to was a gluttony demon, and now he and Jungkook were tasked with finding him while _____ talked business.
Perhaps needless to say, Jungkook was angry. Firstly, he had definitely not bought the lie _____ had come up with to explain why they knew exactly which demon currently had enough angel power to bring a heavenly blade to life. Secondly, Jungkook made it very clear that he was tired of babysitting _____’s new favorite pet, a term that was growing on Jimin but clearly annoyed the demon. Thirdly, Jungkook was increasingly more suspicious as to why Jimin was even allowed on these missions when he clearly had little to no demonic ability.
All of this meant that Jimin was content on keeping his mouth shut so that he didn’t give Jungkook anymore reason to believe he was anything other than a demon. A bad demon, sure, and not the right kind of bad, but a demon none-the-less.
After an obligatory dinner, which was far more civilized than an angel would believe, Gaki invited _____ on a walk through his dominion. Gaki offered his arm to _____, which she accepted, perhaps even welcomed, but the very action repulsed Jimin to his core. Where _____ was refined and, dare he say, beautiful, Gaki was vile and looked as if he hadn’t bathed since his conception. Something the consistency of honey dripped from his body at all times, and Jungkook had warned Jimin not to stare several times over at this point. Not that Jimin understood why it mattered; he had no eyes. Despite his aversion, Jimin and Jungkook followed behind just as they had planned and looked for the demon Jimin had sold his feathers too. Despite his hopes, the rest of the dominion was not any easier to stomach. Much like his vice, Gaki’s dominion knew not of moderation, and every vile thing seemed to multiple before his eyes.
Taehyung. Jimin knew there was no reason to believe that Dragas knew about the feathers and that there was no reason for Taehyung to know about the heavenly blade. However, Jungkook had made it very clear that Gaki was on Dragas side, and, while starring daggers at Jimin, he wouldn’t hesitate to stand behind Dragas as the blade pierced through her heart.
_____ had told him to stop being so dramatic, but there was something else in her eyes as she said that. Something that understood the truth and the gravity in Jungkook’s words. Something that vanished as soon as Jungkook turned to face her.
Jimin liked that he saw the moments that Jungkook often missed, the moments where she seemed vulnerable. She was the only person Jimin felt he could truly be himself with and in those moments and seemed that she might feel the same way about him.
But then there were other moments. Moments where it was clear that she was hiding something from Jimin, what he wasn’t sure, but he was sure that Jungkook knew whatever it was. Recently it seemed he even knew that Jimin was clueless on the matter. But perhaps that was just Jimin’s imagination. He hadn’t really cared about _____ and Jungkook’s relationship until recently, but ever since that night in the alley, he had been obsessed with it.
Sure, she flirted with Jimin, but, the closer he looked, she also flirted with the demon. If you asked Jimin, he would say that it didn’t bother him. In fact, he wished that she wouldn’t tease him so much. But that was a lie. It did bother him, because he didn’t flirt with anyone else. Not that he was exactly sure that he was flirting. The things _____ said were far too vulgar for him to even think about let alone say aloud, but he had been trying his best to at least return her rapport. She hadn’t seemed to notice, but he liked to think that had more to do with the impending erasure from existence and not his horrible attempts at flirting.
It was probably both.
“Your dominion is always so beautiful,” _____ said, and Jimin was forced to hold back the laugh at the tip of his tongue.
Sure, it was a sin, but he had to admit that she was a fantastic liar. If he didn’t have eyes, he too just might believe her.
“You should expect nothing less,” Gaki responded, stopping at the edge of a lake of what Jimin best surmised was molasses. “A demon of your beauty deserves beautiful things, no?”
“Gaki,” she practically hummed, causing Jimin to roll his eyes. “you tempt me, but you forget Lucifer didn’t see that my vice was gluttony.”
“This is true, but lust is just another form of gluttony, wouldn’t you say? We both want.”
“We would make quite the team,” _____ responded.
There was a beat of silence before he responded.
“You know I cannot promise you that,” Gaki turned towards her. He reached for her arm, and she allowed him to take it, however Jimin took a step forward, unsure of the action. Not that there was much he could do. He wasn’t a powers angel and Gaki was strong. Not to mention the demons of his dominion that had been watching them since they had arrived. He was helpless because any wrong move would ensure his death and potentially Jungkook and _____’s as well.
“So, you whisper sweet nothings to me?” _____ chuckled. “Do you think I’m a human that you can trick?”
“No,” he smiled, making Jimin’s blood run cold. He paused for a moment, playing with the hem of her sleeve. “I hate this thing,” Gaki continued, reaching to take _____’s jacket off.
She froze, and Jimin took a few more steps forward, only for Jungkook to grab hold of the angel’s arm. He could see it in her eyes, the fear, the vulnerability, and Jimin knew that Jungkook saw it too. He knew that if he said something, Jungkook would mutter business at him, but he didn’t care about that. He wanted to stop that horrible slime of a creature from touching _____. He wanted that horrified look on her face to go away, but Jungkook only tightened his grip on him.
“Do you know when I decided I didn’t trust you, _____?” Gaki chuckled, slowly removing the jacket from her shoulders. “It was when you started wearing this everywhere, hiding the thing that makes you truly special.”
Jimin could only watch as the leather jacket fell to the floor. It seemed to descend in slow motion, and as the white painted angel wings crumpled on the ground, Jimin looked back up at the creature who dared do this with hate in his eyes.
But it was short lived, as his eyes met _____. She looked so panicked, and Jimin tried to pull free from Jungkook in order to help her, but to no avail. The demon was too strong for him to break free. He wanted to run to her, to hold her in his arms and tell her that he wouldn’t let Gaki touch her like that again. A part of Jimin knew this was stupid, she was stronger than he was, she could defend herself. Yet she didn’t. He couldn’t understand why. Why did she let him touch her if she so clearly did not want him to?
“Did you think we would forget who you truly are?” Gaki’s hand caressed her shoulder, causing Jimin’s eyes to follow him. “Did you, Rosiel?”
Jimin watched as Gaki’s hands dripped their residue on one of the two black scars that adorned _____’s back. Oblong in shape, evil seemed to permeate the air around them. Black lines led down her back and seemed to pulse in time with her heart. Every inch of her back expressed her fall, yet, when Jimin looked at it, he didn’t see sin. He saw sadness, he saw pain, and he saw loss. As he processed the truth in front of his own eyes, Jimin’s own back ached where her’s must have once. Where he wondered if it still did.
Jimin knew that she was hiding something from him, but he had never imagined that the truth was beneath the painted angel wings. He had never considered what they meant, always seeing the wings as a jest, as a way to make fun of Jimin and his kind. But she was his kind – or was.
He felt her staring at him, but he couldn’t take his eyes away from the scars. Words replayed in his mind: Seokjin calling _____ an angel, Fallen day, and how she had known exactly what type of angel he was.
“Rosiel,” Jimin barely muttered, but the way she quickly moved away from Gaki, let him know that she had heard him.
It was a casualty of being Rosiel that forced you to endure the treatment that you did from the other demons of dominion. You weren’t like them, you were better, yet Lucifier had given you the same authority as them. They both resented and felt justified at that. Rosiel the demon of lust. So, you covered your scars and you changed you name, and yes Gaki was right, you had hoped that they would forget.
They didn’t. You knew that was why Dragas wanted to kill you with a heavenly blade. He would have your power. With the power of a born demon and a Nephilim he would be practically unstoppable. He could take all the dominions if he wanted or he could be a prince of hell.
They knew you were more powerful than them, but they still underestimated you. They thought you stupid, pliable, things you had allowed them to believe.
Things you were willing to believe about yourself in this moment. You had been stupid to think that you would gain anything by allowing Gaki to remove your jacket. You had been stupid to think that your submission would place you in any sort of favor. He would still side with Dragas tomorrow and the next day. That would be stupid of him, but regardless, he had played the game better than you in this moment.
Jimin hadn’t looked away from your scars since they had been revealed, and as your true name left his lips, you couldn’t help but turn away from him. You felt so exposed, so naked before him, and not in the way you had been dreaming.
A dream that would never happen now that he knew who you were. Hell, you would have done anything at this point to win him over, and Gaki had thrown all of her work away in a moment. If Jimin hadn’t considered his fall previously, it would now be all he thought about when he saw you: one of the fallen.
The interaction had only lasted a minute or so, but as Gaki played with your jacket it had felt like hours of back and forth trying to decide which was worse: offending a demon in his own dominion and likely causing a fight to break out or having your identity revealed to Jimin. You never did decide, Gaki made the choice for you. You guessed that in allowing him to do so, you did make your choice. Either way you lost.
“Gaki,” you nervously chuckle. “I really didn’t mean to make you mistrust me. If I must be honest, I’m just ashamed of my past.” You hated lying but it was necessary to try and shift the tide back in your favor.
“Oh, but darling, what is there to be ashamed of? You chose the right path in the end.”
You saw movement in the corner of your eye and wondered if Jimin had finally had the sense to run away. To go back home and to never come to Hell again. To return to Earth and spend his days peacefully watching his charge, never to question the order of Heaven and Hell again.
“Boss,” Jimin said, proving you wrong. “We have another meeting soon, so we should get going.”
Your eyes hesitated to meet Jimin’s, but you hoped that once they did, he saw the apology in your eyes. His gaze was set and firm and you took it to mean that your worst fears were realized. Any kindness he had for you was gone in the blink of an eye. Yet he was trying to get you away from Gaki. Maybe he pitied you.
“I had heard that you were intimate with you demons, but I can’t imagine you let them behave so rudely.”
You turned towards Gaki and offered him a curt smile. “Dog or not, he is correct, I have somewhere to be, and it is not in my interest to make anymore enemies. I wish that you and I could work together, but you seem insistent to stand opposed to me.”
“Don’t take it personally, love. It’s in my nature to want more, and I just don’t see that coming from you.”
“So, the demon of greed will share with you?”
“Perhaps not, but I imagine he won’t annihilate me as he would if I stood with you.”
“Perhaps,” Jimin began, his eyes focused on you. “but if I was a betting man I would always go for the Nephilim.”
“Historically,” Gaki chuckled, “they are perhaps the biggest losers.”
Jimin nodded his head at this, but he offered you a smile. Perhaps you had been wrong, maybe he did still see you as his friend.
“Losers?” Jimin questioned. “You said yourself that she had chosen the right path.”
It was silent when Jimin and the demons returned back to _____’s dominion. Jimin and Jungkook stared at _____, who in turn was looking everywhere else. It was Jungkook who made the first move, stepping towards her and reaching for her arm, but seemed to think better, and dropping his hand back to his side.
“Boss?” Jungkook started. “Should I send some dogs out to keep looking for Taehyung?”
She nodded her head in response, looking up to meet Jungkook’s eyes, her gaze firmer than before. The principality demon was merely smoke in the next minute, having followed her orders and dematerialized.
Jimin wasn’t sure for how much longer the silence lasted before she finally looked at him, her eyes soft.
“You weren’t supposed to find out this way.”
“But I was supposed to find out?” He asked.
She shrugged at this. “I told you that if you really knew me you would think badly of me. Can’t say I was looking forward to telling you.”
“I don’t think badly of you.”
Her head tilted to the side slightly at this, as if she was trying to see Jimin from a different angle, a different point-of-view. He smiled at this look, the thought that she, a feared demon, looked quite innocent in this moment. He wondered if this was how he always looked to her.
“Do they talk about me,” she pointed towards the ceiling, “up there?”
“I guess generally, but not by name. Since I was created, I’ve been hearing stories about the angels that rebelled with Lucifer, but he’s the only one they name.”
“I didn’t rebel with Lucifer,” she replied, slightly under her breath as if the words would break Jimin.
“I don’t understand… Your wings-”
“I fell after the rebellion, not far after, but after. It was just me and Azazel then.” She looked down after saying this, her eyes watering slightly.
Acknowledging her pain, Jimin closed the distance between the two of them and pulled her into his arms. He held her the way that he had wanted to when Gaki violated her space, and for a moment he wondered if he was doing the very same now, but his fears were allayed as her arms snaked around his middle, pulling them closer together.
“I’m sorry that happened to you,” Jimin whispered as he rubbed her back slightly, staying well above her scars.
She was silent for a moment before responding. “I’m not.”
Unfortunately, I overestimated how productive I could be working almost 40 hrs a week and dealing with finals :(
I’m really bummed that I missed the anniversary of YBMFS but I’ll be posting it as soon as I can. I’m going to try and write some tonight, but I also have my last final due Monday.
It will definitely be up soon! I just don’t know when unfortunately.

As soon as Jimin materialized into your office, he knew that something was different. You weren’t behind your desk and as he looked around the room, he realized you weren’t anywhere to be seen at all. He quickly ripped the halo off of his neck and ran to hide it in your desk drawer. If you weren’t here than something else must have brought him and he wasn’t about to blow his cover. Then again, the more he thought about it, he realized that whatever brought him here had to have known that he couldn’t do it himself. Jimin almost cursed at the thought that his identity was already known.
The door that led from _____’s bedroom to the office creaked open and Jimin quickly crouched behind the desk. He listened as the door shut and footsteps approached him.
“Jimin?” a familiar voice slurred out.
Jimin rose to come face to face with Jungkook. The demon smiled a goofy smile in response.
“_____ said you would be in here,” he chuckled. “Weird place to materialize for the party.”
“Party?”
Jimin was left confused as Jungkook only laughed in response before walking back to the door. The demon left Jimin alone in the office without another word. The angel wondered if he should follow Jungkook or wait for you here. On one hand, he had no idea what party Jungkook was talking about and he was beginning to feel like he had crashed it. He hadn’t been called here by you, rather he had pressed the moon on his chest incessantly until he had finally felt the familiar pull of you bringing him into Hell. It was comforting feeling then, because he had wanted to talk to you so badly. Lately, you were the only person who he could be honest with.
Now, he was worried that he was interrupting something. However, there was no way for him to leave unless you materialized him back up to Earth and for that to happen, he would have to join you and Jungkook. Whether he liked it or not, he turned the doorknob and entered your room.
He was greeted by the sight of Jungkook laying on his back on your bed amongst your black silk sheets, his feet planted on the floor. He was levitating three knives above his body and juggling them. Jimin felt like he was walking in on something, but as he continued to survey the room, he realized that you and Jungkook were not alone. Jay sat on a couch next to your fireplace, a drink in his hand, next to another demon that Jimin hadn’t met. The new demon crouched down bringing his nose level to a line of white substance on the coffee table. Unfortunately, there was still no sight of you.
“It’s the best day of the year Jimin, there’s no need to hide in the office,” Jungkook said as he sat up. “No work today, bosses’ orders.”
“What day is it?” Jimin asked as he entered the room, shutting the door behind him.
“You’re kidding right?” Jay voiced from his spot on the couch before laughing. “Jungkook, have you noticed that he knows nothing about the boss, but he spends more time with her than I have for the past decade?”
“I have noticed that, Jay,” Jungkook smirked, still juggling the knives. “They must not be doing much talking.”
Jay snorted. “Don’t throw stones in glass houses, Kook.”
Jimin was just about to ask Jay what he meant by that, when another door opened. A smile spread widely across his face as you emerged from it. He quickly realized that Jungkook must be right about today being a special day. In all of his time here, he had never seen you in anything but black pants, but today you were wearing a red leather skirt with a black lace top that made heat flush to Jimin’s cheeks. His only solace was that you had kept your black leather jacket adorned with angel wings on as well, covering most of your upper body.
“I should have sold my soul to you,” the new demon voiced, causing Jimin to turn and look at him. He was standing now, a bit of white dust around his nose.
“You’re a messy eater,” is all _____ said in response before sitting at her vanity.
Jimin turned back and couldn’t look away from her as she finished putting her makeup on. He had always thought, perhaps even hoped, that demons would be ugly but the more time he spent with you the more hopeless he became that one day you would reveal yourself to be a monster. You always looked good and as you painted your lips a deep red, Jimin regretted his stares. Your eyes met him in your mirror, and you gave him a quick wink before returning your focus to the mirror.
“You got synth soul everywhere, Jin,” Jay chuckled as he handed the other demon a purple handkerchief from his pocket.
“Shit, my line would have been much cooler otherwise.”
“Love sucks,” Jimin said as he tore his gaze away from you. “You’re probably better off with whatever you sold your soul for.”
Jungkook roared with laughter as he stood up from the bed, the knives dropping to the floor with a clatter. He walked over to Jimin and placed his hand on the angel’s shoulder as he looked over at Jin. “You hear that? You’re better off in the land of wrath.”
Jimin winced at the declaration. He had become so used to Jay and Jungkook speaking so poorly of love he had forgotten the other dominions that were possible. Wrath was what had consumed Ben’s father.
“I didn’t know-” Jimin started, but Jin shook his head in response.
“You’re new, right?”
“Yes, and I shou-”
“You don’t even know how lucky you are. I mean you work for an angel.”
Jimin raised an eyebrow as he turned to face _____. Jin must have been her beauty, but even that didn’t feel heavenly to Jimin. It wasn’t a pure beauty, it was the beauty that cursed men and dragged them to hell. She was the demon of lust after all. Then again, maybe he was projecting.
“Compared to your boss, everyone’s an angel,” _____ shrugged before meeting Jimin’s eyes in the mirror. There was something in them that Jimin had never seen before. Her confidence didn’t shine as brightly as she looked at him. There was something else clouding it. Was she worried?
“I would kill again to work for a demon with legs like that as opposed to the goat legs on Kalgrath.”
Again? Jimin went to respond but Jungkook letting go of his shoulder and walking towards the vanity distracted him. He watched as _____’s gaze left his own and instead met Jungkook’s eyes. Her confident gaze was back to its regular strength and something in that felt wrong to Jimin. Had he done something to upset her? She had barely given him the time of day since he had gotten here and now, she didn’t seem her usual self when she looked at him. Had even her wink been forced, and he just hadn’t noticed?
Jimin took a step forward but stopped himself from going any further as he watched Jungkook place both of his hands-on _____’s shoulders and position himself directly behind her. He smiled his bright smile at her before pressing a kiss to the top of her hair. Jimin focused carefully on the words his lips formed as he whispered something that only the two of them could hear.
Beautiful.
Jimin was just about to interrupt them, when Jay shouted excitedly from his corner of the room.
“Boss,” he smiled. “I don’t have any more lines, so it is time to get this show on the road.”
You had been at the club for an hour, trying desperately to drink yourself into oblivion. You hadn’t told Jimin about your party for a reason, but he was here now and with every passing second it became more likely that he was going to find out who you were. Jay had practically blurted it out the last time they had been together and Jin’s decleration had left Jimin shocked, she could tell by the confusion etched all over his face, and you knew that if they were left alone for too long there would be no stopping his mouth from running. The truth about you had ruined so much already and now it was going to ruin your chances with Jimin as well.
So, you were drinking to cope.
In all fairness this was the plan all along. Every year you and your dominion celebrated this day, celebrated you, and each year everyone got high out of their minds on synthesized soul dust and liquor. It was the one day a year you refused to allow yourself to stay on guard in order to do your job. You deserved that much, devils work hard after all.
You hadn’t been showing Jimin much attention, but you had made sure to keep an eye on him. He had refused the vices, but he had kept up with the group all night. The dogs eyed him curiously, but Seokjin and Jay hadn’t left his side long enough for Jimin to pay them any mind. As the night progressed, so did Jimin it appeared, or maybe you had just been drinking too much. He was just as charismatic with them as he had become with you, and it even looked like he was enjoying himself. He had cringed when Seokjin announced that he was going to find a human to suck the life out of him and then he would literally do the same to her, but after the demon had left, he seemed completely unfazed. This was a world he was beginning to fit into.
Your close eye on him, however, faltered when Jungkook decided it was time for the two of you to dance. Now, you found yourself pressed up against his sweaty body, your eyes closed, as the two of you moved in sync with the music. Jungkook was good at everything, that is why you had fought so hard for his soul and why you had him at your side, but the way he moved his body was sinful. Dancing with Jungkook was one of your favorite parts about going out with him. It was always a good time when he pulled you onto the dance floor and into his arms.
His grip on your hips was strong yet soft. He wanted the illusion of being in control, but you and he both knew who ran the show. You moved around to face him, and he raised his brow furrowed in confusion. He was just opening his mouth to say something when Jay walked over to you both.
“Hey, boss?” Jay smiled. “I think it’s time to raise some hell.”
Jungkook chuckled as he pulled you closer into his body. “Jay, something else is ready to raise and he’s not going to be happy if you interrupt that,” he said as he pressed your thigh against his erection, as if his statement had been subtle.
Jay smirked. “Why does he have a little bit of a temper?” Jay asked as he held up his pointer finger and thumb to show exactly how little he meant.
“There’s nothing little about him, for the record,” Jungkook chuckled, but he tightened his grip on you as well. As if you had no idea what he was packing and Jay’s insults might discourage you.
“Pissing contest is over boys,” you started, as you removed yourself from Jungkook’s arms. “I don’t see why there’s any reason that we can’t have both. I wanna break something.”
“Then let’s go and I’ll break your back,” Jungkook pouted as he took your hand into his.
You shook your head in response. “Nope, I’m with Jay. It’s time to wreak havoc.”
“Wreak havoc?” Jimin asked as he approached the group. You watched as his eyes flashed to you and Jungkook’s entwined hands, but if it bothered him or if he cared about it in the slightest, his face didn’t show it, and usually he couldn’t hide much from his face. You hated to admit how much his lack of reaction upset you.
“Ah, Jiminie,” Jay started as he wrapped an arm around the angel’s shoulders. “This is your first fallen night, so it’s important that I lay out the rest of the schedule. Forgive me, I should have done it earlier.”
You tensed as you realized that Jay had done exactly what you had expected. You were about to tell Jay to shut up, but Jimin didn’t respond to Jay’s announcement. You hoped that meant he hadn’t picked up on what Jay had called tonight’s celebration.
“This – the club - was just a pregame. Now we move on to my favorite part. We let the dogs out and we wander around on Earth. Now you might be thinking, a) was that a corny attempt at making a reference to that song by the Baha Men and b) how is this any different than what we normally do?”
Jungkook chuckled as he pulled you into his arms again. He was always this touchy when you went out together but even more so on fallen day. Ever since he had gotten to your house earlier today, he hadn’t wanted to leave your side. After so much time together, it was much a part of the tradition as getting wasted and breaking things was. It should have made you nervous, because he was doing so in front of Jimin, but you were so anxious about what Jay might say, that it actually comforted you to some extent. Besides, it seemed like Jimin could care less about what went on between you and Jungkook. Maybe that was for the best.
“Well it’s different because we get to do whatever we want and no it was not a Baha Men reference. I’m talking destroying property, sleeping with several human girls, and stealing souls. Casualties are likely to happen, but a great time is assured. The Earth is ours on fallen day, brother, and she is about to get fucked raw.”
Jimin scrunched his forehead at the vulgar words and looked over at you seemingly for confirmation.
“It’s like Christmas for demons,” you offered.
“But better because it’s fallen day.”
“Why do you call it fallen day?”
You tensed at Jimin’s question. Of course, you had been expecting it, and Jay had practically begged him to ask after saying it three times in a row like some sort of Beetlejuice, but you couldn’t hide your apprehension. You blamed the liquor in your system. Jay went to respond, but you cut him off.
“They call us the fallen, don’t they? This is our day,” you gestured to the room filled with demons, causing Jay to raise an eyebrow. Jungkook began to rub his thumb in a circle on your upper arm, likely very aware of how nervous you were. You had done such a good job to make sure that Jimin didn’t know about fallen day and it was falling apart around you.
“What?” Jay asked and you shot him a glare in response.
“Jay, steal a bottle of tequila from the top shelf and let’s get out of here.”
Jay nodded his head, but his eyes still held the same confusion. He did as he was told, and your group walked out of the club. Jimin jumped as the lower level demons clamored around him before running out into the night.
Grabbing the bottle from Jay, you took a large swig from the bottle to try and calm your nerves. Jimin had seemed to accept your explanation so there was nothing to worry about. Especially if you could get him away from Jay and Jungkook.
Almost as if by divine intervention, Seokjin emerged from an ally down the road and waved to your group. The right sleeve on his suit jacket was ripped as if he had been in a fight, which seemed likely considering his dominion. Jay laughed at the sight of his friend and he jogged slightly towards him. Jungkook squeezed your arm, causing you to look up at him. He didn’t say anything, but you knew that his look was a promise that he would be back after he caught up with his friend. You nodded your head in response and watched as he left you and Jimin alone.
“So, they make a whole day for demons in Hell?”
You laughed as you looked over at Jimin. “Every day is demon day in Hell.”
“Then why is fallen day special?” He looked at you sincerely, causing you to drop his gaze. You knew he hadn’t had anything to drink tonight, so there was no reason to believe that he wasn’t aware of how weird you had been acting. He must know the truth behind fallen day. So, you did something you hated to do, you lied again.
“It’s just something I do for my demons. They work too hard.”
“Why aren’t you talking to me tonight?” Jimin asked, as he grabbed your wrist. He pulled slightly as if to ask you to stop and look at him. You complied with his request but regretted it when you saw how serious he looked. “I thought we were becoming friends, but you’ve ignored me all night.”
“Sorry, I guess I just got too fucked up.”
Jimin frowned. “You didn’t want me to come did you?”
You sighed and ran your fingers through your hair, pushing it away from your forehead. “I didn’t want you to think badly of me,” you said in a small voice. It was the truth and you hated that it was. Why should you care so much about what he thinks of you? With anyone else, you wouldn’t, but Jimin was different. There was something about him that made you feel ashamed for being the way that you were. You wished you were better when you were with him because then he might actually respect you.
“I don’t think badly of you.”
“You should,” you said, as you looked back into his eyes. “You would if you really knew me.”
“Stop,” Jimin gripped tighter on your wrist. “This isn’t you, why are you being like this?”
“Happy fallen day,” you shrugged, before pulling your wrist from his grasp. You turned quickly and walked towards the demons. Jungkook must have heard you approaching, because he turned towards you with a smile. He motioned for you to hug into his side as he continued his conversation with Jay and Jin.
Jimin slowly approached the group as well and you could feel his eyes staring into the back of your head as he did so.
“So, after the girl was a bust, I was trying to figure out what I would want for fallen day, and I decided I wanted to fight the biggest guy I could find on this street. So, I did, and as you can tell, I won,” Jin smiled. “Anyways, thanks for inviting me.”
Jungkook and Jay laughed in response, but Jimin was notably silent beside you. You fought the urge to turn and see what his reaction to the story was and instead nuzzled closer to Jungkook.
“Come with me,” Jungkook whispered before pressing a kiss above your ear.
Intertwining your fingers with his and handing the bottle of tequila to Jay, you followed him further down the street and away from your friends. You barely registered as Jay shouted goodbye and teased the two of you for finally getting around to the final tradition of fallen day.
Jungkook turned down an alley and almost immediately pushed you up against the brick wall. The bricks scrapped at you exposed skin, causing you to let out a hiss.
“Here or yours?” Jungkook asked before kissing at your neck.
“Here, then we can join in the havoc after.”
“After?” Jungkook pulled back from you neck and smirked. “You expecting this to end quickly or?”
“It did last year,” you fired back as you wrapped your arms around his neck, lest he try to escape.
“That’s not fair, because Jay poisoned me last year.”
You laughed before pulling Jungkook down into a kiss. He accepted greedily, the both of you hungry in anticipation.
Jungkook and you slept together periodically, but since his damnation you had never spent a fallen day without him. There was no love, demons weren’t capable of that, but he was one of the only demons you trusted. You knew that when you woke up in the morning, there wouldn’t be a knife in your back, literally. On top of that, you had decades to get to know each other’s bodies and no one else made you come harder or faster than he did.
“You want your gift?” He asked through deep breaths as he pulled away.
“Oh bunny, you shouldn’t have,” you smiled, as you pushed down on his shoulder, more than ready to accept.
“Is that so? He asked, pushing back up against your hand. “In which case, I won’t.”
You frowned. “Don’t be a tease, and I’ll return the favor.”
“You make a compelling argument,” he smiled as he dropped to his knees. He looked up at you for just a moment before he placed a kiss to your clitoris through the lace of your bodysuit. “You know,” he started as he looked back up at you. “I want to take this time to thank God for tossing you out of heaven so that I can see this angelic pussy.”
“Fuck off,” you frowned.
“I believe the words you’re looking for are actually ‘fuck me,’ but the message was still received,” Jungkook, smiled as pushed your body suit to the side, exposing your sex. “Happy fallen day, baby.”
“You know, I love everything you do with your tongue, except for all of this talking.”
“Oh, is that so?”
You smiled as you laced your fingers in your hair and pulled him closer to your core. “You should be too busy doing other things. What did I say about teasing?”
Jungkook only chuckled in response before pushing your legs further apart and pressing the flat of his tongue to your clit. You moaned in response and pulled on his hair slightly. He went to work on your sensitive nub, writing the alphabet with his tongue, and by the time he made it to ‘O’ he inserted a finger inside of you as well.
“See you’re so good at this, you should just never talk and only do this instead.”
Jungkook pulled back as he laughed. “So, then I should stop directing the dogs for you and just take post here for the rest of eternity.”
“God, yes, I can just tell them what to do.”
“That’s a pretty bold statement, considering you won’t be able to get a single word out because of how good I’m making you feel.”
You rolled your eyes. “That’s a pretty bold statement for someone who is letting me fall further and further from my high as we speak.”
Jungkook only smiled in response as he went back to work. The rhythm of his tongue against your clit sent shocks throughout your body and you moaned in response to his ministrations. Your eyes closed shut as you basked in the feeling of bliss that washed over you. He inserted two fingers now and after being together for so long, he knew exactly where to move them so that your back arched against the brick wall.
You reopened your eyes to look down at him, as you felt your high approaching and you pulled on his hair lightly to let him know that if he wanted to watch you come, he would need to look up soon. He pushed your skirt up around your waist, so that it didn’t block his view and continued working you towards your peak.
Out of the corner of your eye, you suddenly noticed a figure standing at the intersection of the street and the alley. Almost everything in your body told you not to worry about it and instead to focus on the way Jungkook looked kneeling between your legs. You weren’t against voyeurism, and if some horny human wanted to get their rocks off watching you and Jungkook fuck, who were you to deny them. You were in public after all. Yet, one small corner of your brain was begging you turn and see what was watching you.
You let the small corner win as you turned to face the figure at the end of the alley. You almost gasped when your eyes met Jimin’s but instead, you remained as still as possible. It was like approaching a wild animal in the woods, you weren’t sure how he would react, so you tried to make no sudden movements for fear of scaring him away.
Jungkook must have noticed your lack of attention as his hand moved from your thigh to smack at your ass. You moaned involuntarily in response, eyes never leaving Jimin’s. What was truly only a few seconds felt like hours as the angel’s eyes widened in response and he began to sputter unintelligible. His cheeks were a bright red as he turned quickly on his heel and ran away.
“Jungkook,” you whined as you pushed at his head, trying to get him to stop.
“It was him wasn’t it?” he sighed. He stood up from his spot, his face set like flint. His eyes were asking you not to go, but you needed to check on Jimin. There was no way anything between you and Jungkook was going to go well if all you could do was worry about the angel.
“I’ll be right back,” you promised, as you pulled your skirt back down before slipping between him and the wall. You headed off in the direction Jimin had left in, but after a few minutes of wandering it became clear that you weren’t going to find him walking aimlessly in the city. For a moment you considered the implications of forcing him to confront you. It was likely that he would feel his privacy was being infringed upon, but you knew that talking about it was the only way to move past it. You gripped the black crescent moon around your neck tightly, calling the angel to you without any more thought.
He stumbled as he materialized in front of you and when he looked up a frown was set deeply on his face. At least it seemed that you were right about it upsetting him.
“Stop,” he started. “I know you want to tease me about it, but I don’t ever want to talk about it ever. Okay?” he sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. “I should have just kept walking by, I’m sorry.”
Jimin was visibly upset by the situation and you hated seeing him like that. You reached for his hand to comfort him, but he pulled it away quickly, causing you to frown.
“Jimin, it’s okay. It’s not a big deal. Plenty of people have seen me and Jungkook. We weren’t exactly trying to hide it.”
“That strangely doesn’t make me feel better,” he huffed.
“I told you.”
Jimin looked at you puzzled. “Told me what?”
“I said you would think badly of me and now you finally see, right?”
“Think badly of you? I know what you are, you’ve been describing things like that to me since we met,” Jimin frowned as he looked down at his feet. “I messed up, please forgive me.”
“Who do you think I am God? What do I need to forgive you for?”
“I shouldn’t have watched.”
“I told you I don’t care about that, in fact I’m glad you did.”
Jimin snorted. “I shouldn’t have watched okay. I shouldn’t want to. I messed up. Sorry, I’m not like you. I don’t do that; I’m not supposed to want to do that.”
You weren’t sure how to respond to Jimin’s words. On one hand, you wanted to press him. You wanted to talk him into giving into whatever desire made him stop and watch you and Jungkook tonight. He was right, you had been trying to get him to sleep with you since you had met and right now you had just been denied an orgasm on your fallen day. So of course, you wanted to kick into high gear and do your best to seduce him tonight.
On the other hand, seeing Jimin so upset made you want to comfort him and asking him to give into something he was obviously ashamed of was not the way to do that.
“Then let’s pretend it never happened.”
Jimin looked back up at you and quirked an eyebrow. “What?”
“As I remember it, me and Jungkook went off somewhere and you went back to Cameron’s to watch over her. You didn’t see us again until the next day.”
His face cracked into a small smile. “That does sound very much like something I would do.”
“Absolutely, baby boy. Just like you to be so pure.”
Except it did happen. Jimin sighed as he walked beside Jungkook to Dragas mansion. The demon looked at him from the corner of his eye and shook his head.
“Are you going to be all emo now because of last night? Because I swear to God, I will pay Jin to beat the shit out of you until you remember how to be normal.”
“Nothing like a good threat in the morning to make me reassess my life,” Jimin forced a smile. “Also, swearing to God won’t do you any good down here.”
Jungkook chuckled. “That is a very good point and pokes a rather large hole in my threat.” Jungkook knocked on the front door and he and Jimin waited for one of Dragas demons to let them in. It became clear pretty quickly that Jimin was not cut out to pretend to be one of Dragas dogs. His biggest mistake however, had been never asking what dominion Dragas reigned over. In trying to talk his way out of a situation he asked a tempter demon if it was easy to tempt people into sloth. Dragas was apparently the demon of greed. Jimin was sniffed out pretty quickly after that and he said that he was not one of Dragas’ dogs but was one of _____’s and had come here with Jungkook but had gotten lost. Thankfully, they seemed to buy that, but Jungkook had looked livid when Jimin was dragged in front of him.
Now Jimin visited with Jungkook as a known member of _____’s domain which meant he had not learned as much as had been expected of him. He couldn’t say that he was terribly upset about it though. He did get to keep hanging out with _____ the more time it took him to fulfill his end of the deal. However, that was likely to prove more difficult after what he saw last night.
After what he felt last night.
Jimin rubbed his hands over his face as the door to the mansion was opened for them. He and Jungkook offered the demon a quick nod before following him to Dragas’ office. It was becoming second nature at this point, and Jimin bet he could even find the office with his eyes closed. At the beginning and end of every week he and Jungkook came to talk to Dragas about business and every time Dragas was not interested. Jungkook said that it was politics, which meant nothing to Jimin, but according to the demon Dragas denied them but he would be insulted if they didn’t come. He is the demon of greed, so he’s never going to share with them, but because he thought that _____ was interested in working with him he felt he had power over her. Jungkook assured Jimin that he did not, and that it was only to stroke his ego, something demons of lust were very good at apparently.
During every one of these meetings Jungkook sent Jimin out so that he and Dragas could talk in private and it was at that time that Jimin snuck around the mansion looking for things. Jimin wasn’t sure if Dragas just liked the idea that Jungkook was potentially keeping information between the two of them or if he really was just an idiot, but he never objected to Jimin leaving his sight. Jimin had made a mental catalog of every room and what areas he had searched in them. So far all he had learned was that he very much disliked Dragas.
“Jimin,” Jungkook said around 20 minutes into the meeting. “leave so I can talk to Dragas without her ears, yeah?”
Jimin stood up wordlessly, already knowing that no one cared where he went at this point. After shutting the office door behind him, he quickly made his way down the hall and turned into a room he hadn’t explored yet. He let out a deep breath he didn’t realize he was holding and took in his surroundings. It was another office and from what he knew about _____’s dominion he was sure it must belong to Dragas’ principality. Jungkook had an office in _____’s mansion, though it wasn’t quite as terrifying. On the desk sat a severed head that Jimin decided to compartmentalize and think about later when he could spare a moment to freak out. Instead he turned away from it and got to work searching. He had made it through about half of the room when he heard voices and footsteps approaching.
Thankfully Jimin had taken to identifying the best place to hide when he entered one of Dragas’ rooms after he had been so easily figured out. He hurried over to the bathroom that was connected to the office and did his best to return the door to the partially cracked open position it had been in. He prayed silently that whoever was coming in had no plans to stay for very long or defecate.
Jimin listened as two demons entered the office. Their boots thudded loudly, causing him to shrink deeper into himself. Honestly, any demon that wasn’t Jungkook, Jay, Jin, or _____ scared him and made him fear for his life. Demons were notorious for hating angels and he just so happened to be one of those.
“They’re fucking idiots if they think Dragas is ever going to trade with them.”
“You act like that’s groundbreaking news. Everyone knows we won’t have to deal with the bitch for much longer, except for the bitch. She really thinks she’s hot shit, sending not only Jungkook in place of her but sending a dog with him.”
Something thudded in the other room and Jimin jumped at the sudden nose. He leaned forward just enough to see if his life was in any immediate danger.
“I’m just mad the boss gets to shove this through her heart, instead of me. If I had it my way, we’d all take turns while she begged us for mercy, and then the boss would finally kill her.”
Jimin placed a hand over his mouth to silence the gasp that threatened to escape his lips. It seemed that ______ was right. Dragas did want to get rid of her and sitting on his principality’s desk was the heavenly blade to do so.

Jimin stood outside of the club, the sound of bass-heavy music making it hard for him to think. He nervously rubbed at his bare neck, the lack of metal making him feel vulnerable and exposed. He should go back home and put it back on –
Jimin shook his head quickly and pulled his sleeve up to make sure that the black dot was still there. It was so small, someone might think they had never noticed that mole on his arm. The lingering pain told him otherwise. He thought he might pray to god to keep him safe, but that wouldn’t be possible now, not if they dot worked.
Two women walked past him laughing, making Jimin realize that he must look like a crazy person standing outside here alone, nervously fidgeting. He took a deep breath before entering the Devil’s Lair.
As far as names went, it was pretty on the nose, but the more time Jimin spent on earth the more often he realized that appeared to be the underworld’s style. He tried to keep to the shadows, he wasn’t even sure why he was here, and he didn’t need to run into anyone who was interested in finding out.
Taehyung had told him that this was fine when he gave him the dot, that he wasn’t the only one who asked for it, but he found that hard to believe as he looked around the club. Not a single person here was like him.
He catches your eyes as you take a sip of whatever concoction has been handed to you. You’re not sure if it’s the way he avoids everyone or the fear you see in his eyes, but you know that he’s not a human. Humans can’t help but clamor around the club, drawn to any and every demon they make eyes with, but he – he looks like someone who knows they shouldn’t be here.
You should send Jungkook after him, he’s clearly not of your concern, but instead you excuse yourself from the table, saying something about needing a new drink despite yours being full, and begin walking towards him.
The closer you get, the more certain you are that he is holy and the thought of playing with him crosses your mind. It had been a very long time since you had been around something so good.
He suddenly becomes aware of your presence, and he looks up quickly, making eye contact with you. The fear in his eyes is back and brighter than ever, making your lips curl into a devilish grin. He sees this two and for a second you think he might run, but he doesn’t.
“You must be lost,” you start. “What’s a pretty boy like you doing down here?”
“I’m not lost,” he says assuredly.
“Oh?”
He nods his head as he presses his lips into a line.
“Then tell me, baby boy, what are you looking for?”
He hesitates, and you think this game might not be fun at all. You even move to call Jungkook over, but then he answers.
“Truth.”
Your smile widens. “Truth? Angels never cease being virtuous, do they?”
His eyes widen at your comment. “How did you – Taehyung said –” He pulls up his sleeve and begins rubbing at a small black dot.
“Oh that?” You chuckle. “That explains why none of these dogs have sniffed you out yet.”
“Dogs?”
“Dogs, lower level demons, whatever you want. It’s not like the Princes of Hell spend much time at human night clubs.”
“But you found me?
“So, you can put two and two together then, can’t you?” You take a sip of your drink, and motion to the dot. “What’d you pay for it?”
“Five feathers,” he replies, and he winces slightly.
“Not an unfair price,” you say, “Taehyung probably didn’t expect anyone to be here or,” you chuckle, “he probably just doesn’t care what happens to you.
Jimin frowns at your comment, and you decide you definitely do not like that.
“I can help you,” you offer before you think better of it.
“What?” He spits. “You want to trick me too? No, thanks.”
“That’s uncalled for,” you pretend to pout. “You don’t know anything about me. I thought you were supposed to be the good guy, Mr. Judgement.”
“I’m not a human... you can’t trick me. I know what you are.”
“Yet, Taehyung did just that.”
He stiffens at your words and looks like he might turn to leave, but he hesitates.
“It’ll cost you less than five feathers.”
He raises an eyebrow, “I thought you said you were powerful?”
“I never said that. I said these demons were dogs. You assumed that meant I was powerful,” you shrug. “And you know what assuming does.”
He looks baffled.
“They don’t have common sayings in heaven, or?”
He blinks back at you.
“It makes an ass out of you and me,” you sigh. “Listen, I can give you a better mark than this and I just need a tiny favor.”
He snorts. “Demons never need tiny favors.”
“Well, it surely wouldn’t be an easy task for a human, but for a – let me guess – guardian angel… like you it shouldn’t be a problem.”
“How – how could you possibly know I’m a guardian angel?”
You smile but ignore his question. “So, what do you say? Want me to markup that pretty skin of yours, so you can get your rocks off with some human boy or girl.”
He rolls his eyes. You lean forward, and he doesn’t back away, causing a smirk to dance across your lips. You’re dangerously close to his ear and the lack of distance has him rigid but he still doesn’t move.
“Or you can sin more fantastically and have your way with me.”
He gasps and quickly pushes you away, causing a laugh to rip through you.
“Oh, baby boy, don’t get so worked up,” you bat your eyelashes. “So, what do you say?”
He sighs, “I’m an idiot.” He runs his fingers through his blonde hair. “Okay, let’s do this.”
“All for the virtue of truth,” you say as you grab onto his shoulder before dematerializing.
When you materialize in your home, Jimin staggers and falls to the ground. You move to help him up, but he stops you.
“Could have warned me before,” he says.
“What’s the fun in that?” You smile. “We can’t all have wings.”
He snorts at your response, before looking around at his surroundings. You walk over to your desk and sit down, grabbing a pen and some paper. You begin drawing up your contract with the angel.
“You haven’t told me what your favor is yet.”
“And you haven’t told me your name,” you look up at him. “Which I need right now so I can do this right.”
“Favor first, then name.”
“Very well,” you sigh. “I need you to spy on a demon for me.”
His eyes widen. “I’m sorry… Your idea of a little favor is spying on a demon?”
“Well, with my mark he’ll have no idea what you really are, and you can do whatever you want with you free time. I see it as a win-win.”
He chuckles without humor. “Why do you even need to spy on a demon?”
“You’re the one who said I was powerful. Powerful people have powerful enemies.”
“So, you are? Powerful I mean.” He looks genuinely curious and you like this side of him. This side, you can do something with.
“I believe the deal was the nature of my favor for your name, not the nature of my favor and my ranking in the underworld.”
His cheeks turn a tinge of pink and he looks down at his feet. “Sorry, you’re right, that was rude.” He looks back up at you. “My name is Jimin.”
You nod your head as you go back to the contract. A few moments later you finish, and you look back up at him. Jimin has taken a seat in one of the chairs across from your desk and his absentmindedly twiddling his thumbs.
“Baby boy,” you start to get his attention, “it’s your turn. You hold the paper out to him and reach for his pen.
He takes both and takes a deep breath. “How do I know you aren’t tricking me?”
You smirk. “You don’t. But, if it makes you feel better, I hate lying. It’s such a boring sin. The truth is usually worse anyways.”
He seems to ponder your thoughts for a moment before going to sign the document. His breath hitches when he begins to write, no doubt feeling the pain of the pin pricking his finger for blood. Once finished, he hands the paper back to you.
“Let’s just get this over with.”
You smile. “Baby boy, I would spend all night with you if you just let me.”
His gaze is unfazed, so you roll your eyes and move on.
“Let me guess, you want it somewhere daddy can’t see it?”
His eyes sharpen at that, but you don’t let him respond.
“How about we see what you’ve got under there.” You stand up and walk around the desk to him. You crouch before him and he freezes in the same way he did at the club. You look up into his eyes as you play with the hem of his shirt. “Can I?”
He nods his head, prompting you to lift up his shirt. You tilt your head to the side, not necessarily surprised with the toned abdomen that sits before you, but certainly curious about how much effort it would take to see the rest.
“Is something wrong?” he asks, and you realize you’ve been staring.
You look back up at him and smile. “It’s just not fair. God gave you that and then made it so no one could ever appreciate it.”
He rips his gaze away from you as his cheeks redden and you smile at how innocent he is. The longer you’re with him the surer you are that causing his fall would be the most fun you had in a while.
“Okay, baby boy. This is going to hurt,” you pause. “But that’s the best part.”
Jimin arches away from the touch of your thumb into his ribcage as you mark him. Your eyes darken, completely black, as you mutter your curse under your breath. You hear him hiss and the excitement in your chest bubbles at the sound. He sounds just as pretty as he looks. You pull your thumb away to reveal the black crescent moon that is your signature.
The marking takes only a few moments but the way Jimin is panting makes it seem as if it took much longer.
“Taehyung – it didn’t hurt like that,” he stutters.
You smile as your eyes return to their human-like state. “You’re the one who said I was powerful.” You stand up from your crouched position and walk back behind your desk.
Silence hangs over the two of you as you organize the papers and you can sense that Jimin wants to say something. You file him in the correct order, when he speaks up.
“I didn’t expect a demon to have a filing system.”
You laugh as you turn to face him. “Angels are lawful good, so it makes sense that demons are lawful evil, no?”
He nods.
“Want to see if it worked?”
Jimin shoots you a confused look. “If it works?”
“I mean of course it works, baby boy. I just wanted to prove it.”
He considers your words for a moment before nodding. You look down at the charms on your desk and decide on the rabbit’s foot. Grasping it in your hand, you chuckle when you feel his hesitation.
“Please, tell me this is for a good reason,” Jungkook says as he materializes in the room.
“It’s always a good reason when it’s my reason,” you deadpan as you meet his eyes.
“Yes, ma’am,” he mutters.
You smirk as you motion to Jimin. “I’d like you to meet Jimin. He’ll be working with us now.”
Jungkook barely pays attention to Jimin. “_____, you called me here to introduce me to a new dog? I was about to take Seokjin for all he’s worth.”
“You can take Seokjin for all he’s worth now.”
Jungkook sighs, “Yes, ma’am.” He dematerializes as quickly as he came.
You turn back to Jimin to find he is already looking at you.
“_____?”
“So they call me.”
Jimin nods but doesn’t say more even though you can see the curiosity in his eyes.
“Jungkook is my right hand,” you offer.
“Seokjin?”
“Some lesser demon, I don’t know him. He’s not in my dominion.”
“Dominion? Angels have dominion.”
You chuckle. “I’m sure they told you about my old pal, Lucy up there. He was a pretty big fan of how things were set up, he just wanted to run it.”
“So, you are powerful.”
“So you continue to say.”
Silence falls between the two of you again and Jimin looks down at his hands. You think he might ask more questions, but he doesn’t. You’re disappointed by this and the game is no longer fun.
“Where do you want me to take you back to?”
He looks up at you. “I hid my halo in some high schooler’s locker.”
