you get me perfectly with saying ycsac ft Lizzy should be like 6 minutes long like yes niall should’ve kept his 2nd verse in there somewhere, Lizzy still gets her full own full verse, they also should’ve harmonised on “they will say that we’re crazy” instead of it just being him as well as also having another chorus of them harmonising in there somewhere and keeping the piano outro - I still love it I just love it so much that I want more of it
right exactly!!! it's already so 60s/70s singer-songwriter inspired, it's literally BEGGING for that 4, 5, 6 verse structure of some of those classic ballads. i literally listen to it and mourn for what could have been had we not been in this stupid short song streaming era, cause it's already so fucking good—literally one of the best of his career—but it could have transcended and been THEE song of all time with just a bit more to it 😭
