MEL!!!!! au where Ian goes to the army or goes on a long trip or SOMETHING idk and Mickey id waiting in the airport and he missed him, he missed his giant hudband and he's been waiting for hours and hes grouchy and tired and overstimulated and then there he is, there's Ian, and Mickey just- he missed him so much, so he just charges at it.

Ian has like. Three seconds to process "hey, that's mickey-" before Mickey's jumping at him. I'm talking arms around the neck legs around the waist koala hug. Ian catches him, -- barely -- and just. Holds him for a minute. He missed him too. He doesn't know why Mickey's upset (airports are loud and irritating) but Ian loves him so much.

gonna go with long trip skjdfh i pretend i do not see army ian 😇 but OMGGGGG ian standing in the middle of baggage claim with an armful of husband! i am SUCH A SUCKER for a reunion scene. the idea of them just waiting on pins and needles to see each other again and then GAHHH that sweet relief when they get to hold each other and be close again 😭 it’s everything to me! 

especially after how dramatic and serious their other separations/reunions have been, now they get to have lovely, sweet ones! they knew they’d see each other again, it was all temporary, but they never want to be apart again! ugh yes yes yes a lovely hug and sway in the airport, followed by whispered hellos and i missed yous and soft (and...not so soft) kisses, ian tugging on mickey’s hand to head back home 🥺 that’s my SHIT, alicia! i adore you!
