Zeke + Eren modern bro headcanons

some of them are kind of sad beware

modern au

when they were younger, zeke and eren were really close. they’d play catch with each other when grisha wouldn’t. eren would have zeke do the boss levels in video games and teach him the best strats

almost as soon as zeke was able to drive they would go to some ice cream place every weekend. eventually this stopped because eren became an angsty tween

when eren was young he was a Very sleepy child and fell asleep everywhere; on the couch, in the car, at the kitchen table, etc and zeke was always the one to pick him up and carry him to his bed. eren would wake up and freak out every time bc he didn’t know how he got there

eren knows zeke loves the zoo so for his birthday eren said they should go to the zoo, but zeke didn't have money so eren scraped up all of his chore money to pay for both of them

eventually they grew apart when zeke went to the military but they managed to reconnect after a while. eren gave him a small monkey plushie before he left which he took everywhere on deployments

they hang out sometimes, either visiting each other or going for lunch and coffee. zeke usually has to pay for it because eren is broke

eren has no stable sleep pattern and will send zeke really cryptic memes and videos early in the morning

when eren was like 10 he had this phase where he was obsessed with monster trucks and for his birthday zeke gave him a remote control truck and eren still has it 10 years later

zeke forced eren to play baseball and eren hated it so much at first but now it makes up some of his favorite memories

grisha wasn’t very present in his sons’ lives so zeke taught eren how to do all the “man” things like shaving because he found out that eren was trying to shave by himself and kept getting cut

eren is lowkey jealous of zeke’s ability to grow a beard bc he can only manage to grow a bit of scruffy stubble so zeke teases him a lot about it

zeke shows a lot of his affection through touch so whenever they’re hanging out eren expects lots of shoulder punches, slaps on the back, arms around the neck, hair being ruffled, etc
