The afterlife is a rather confusing topic for many, but not as confusing as it may sound.  In order for a deceased person’s mitamah, or soul, to be carried to the Twilight Realm, he or she must have lived a life of holiness and virtue, in accordance with the Holy Mother’s teachings.  I could explain this in more detail, but it would take several hours.

If, on the other hand, the person did not live such a life, he or she will be demoted to a reincarnation as something less than human, such as a vegetable or insect, or in worse cases, a denizen of a specific sort of hell.  Only afterward will they be given another chance at life.

As a spirit medium cannot channel the soul of something that is not human, we may safely assume that any channeled spirit led a good and noble life.  Such souls are always a beautiful sight to behold.
