I rather accidentally fell in with a group of French people who were, to my surprise, fans of Mass Effect - the French aren't as enamoured with video games as the British, Germans and Americans, mostly due to language issues, and though RPGs are well received in France, running into a Mass Effect fan, let alone 4 of them, was unexpected. Still, they gamely tolerated my basic French - turns out French obsessive fans are like other obsessive fans, except they use their hands more. Not like that.

I'll spare you the details of the rest of the conversation, mostly because when they got animated they lapsed into colloquialisms and casual speak, most of which went over my head, but there was one thing I picked up that made me chuckle
