Seems so recently that I arrived in Canada but now, sadly it looks like I won't be staying when my visa expires. During my time at work the government changed the permanent residency rules and my job is no longer eligible for extra points and since I need a minimum 1 year's employment in a certain job it's now too late to get another

I won't lie, I'm a bit upset at this. I really appreciate that my utilities are basically nothing when compared to £2k a month back home, and I do like that housing value is better than back home. Also the people and places are nice. I should've led with that

My visa runs out in September and I'm applying for a bridge so that I won't be kicked out on the day my current visa ends so I might as well see what fun things I can do after I tie up loose ends and get my affairs in order. Christ, it's like I'm dying. Certainly has a similar air of inevitability about it

I really don't fancy going to New York. I'm tempted to visit Chicago again for a few days, see @thievinghippo again as I really loved Chicago and I'd like to take a look at their new library. Or I could visit @twigcollins and maybe swing round and spend a couple of minutes with my uncle even though he's a dickhead

Or go somewhere new and meet someone new! @proserpine-in-phases, you're Minnesota right? That place might be nice? Maybe? I dunno, it's new and I'd like to go somewhere new

Or I could be boring and hoard as much money as possible before I go back to the UK. Exchange rate is arse though

Bugger was trapped by the dwemer to be their sun and he was still stuck there long after they disappeared. Poor bastard probably went insane from his isolation, Paarthurnax went to visit Numinex when he was jailed in Dragonsreach and he was saddened to find Numinex had lost his mind and he hadn't been trapped as long as Vulthuryol

Lament of Icarus

3 long months of toiling on and off on this Neoclassicist master study by the majestic Herbert James Draper. Have always wanted to make this tribute piece ever since Icarus was announced but was derailed by a roller coaster of life and emotions up until this year. Then, I visited Monet's exhibition and it reminded me why I love and found art fascinating in the first place. Still dk if it's worth the amount of time spent lmfao but I can say I'm very satisfied with how it turn out. Learnt a couple things from him heh.

Also before any jokers decide to come at me - yes he's pale in the game but logic says you don't stay pale going so close to the damn sun

Y'know what I really fucking miss? My damn music. And searching for music to share. Difficult to indulge in hobbies when your money is earmarked for elsewhere and you have a full-time job to boot. Why the fuck didn't Shepard ever get a promotion to captain in any of the three Mass Effect games?

First human Spectre, Hero of Eden Prime, saved the Citadel at the climax of the first game! But mo promotion for you commander, sorry just not enough time in grade yet, maybe next year. Fuck Shepard DIED and didn't even get a posthumous promotion as a final honor! The Systems Alliance Navy really sucks

On that topic actually, anyone who commands a vessel is considered a captain, the title is an honorific and a rank, but the only time this is used is with by Quarian during Tali's trail in ME2 when they call you "Captain Shepard" and Shepard acts like they're unfamiliar with this concept despite being a naval officer.
