i feel like every time i rewatch a show with one of my favourite ships, the lack of newness dulls their shine a little. but not with gallavich. every single damn time, they get to me. hell, maybe even a little more each time. they’re allowed to be complicated. they’re allowed to be flawed. their relationship is never going to be entirely ~normal~ but it is so painfully real and full of... everything, the joy of discovery and those quiet moments; the pain of mick’s self-loathing and ian’s bipolar disorder. and that, ultimately, is why they’re gonna be my number one ride or die forever.
