I honestly don’t think RT is going to take all this talk about queerbaiting and white cis boys being the main character issues seriously. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been a fan of RT since 2009. I admire their sense of community and their ambition to entertain. But like another ask said before, they really are a bunch of immature people. I feel like they don’t actually care if they hurt people. I feel like if someone points out something controversial about them, they make a joke out of it or even allow members of the community attack others. Like with feministroosterteeth. RT KNOWS the blog exists, but they brush it off as a joke. Hell, if what I’ve heard is right, Ray even mocked the blog and basically told fans that it was run by an oversensitive nitpicker. So I don’t think those aspects are going to change in RWBY. I don’t think we’re going to get the representation we should get. Unless RT actually sits down and reflect on the WHY instead of thinking, “Ugh, how annoying,” it’s not going to change.

Well…RT IS still a business. I suppose their priority is how to appeal to the majority audience to make more money…
