I can't stop thinking about how Hornet from the Sister of The Void ending would react to Wulfmaiden. Cuz, like, I feel like she'd react to her with a mix of the following:
-Horror (because she can see how she would choose that path if the Caretaker hadn't offered an alternative, and if she had not chosen to help out so often)
-Anger (because she is honestly appalled at what this other version of her is doing and how she treats those who can't defend themselves)
-Sadness or pity (because the wulfmaiden had become, to put it simply, the sum of the expectations of everyone in her life, and believes herself to be free despite being shackled to the kingdom she claims to have liberated)
ughhh even though this is impossible I love thinking about this too. I love canon hornet so much and wulfmaiden is entertaining and all but I adore the growth arcs canon hornet has......
It would absolutely not be pity. Horror and anger definitely, maybe sadness that she had made this choice, but she would in no way pity the Wulfmaiden for a couple different reasons. Her sympathy not something hornet gives away liberally, especially not someone who she thinks is doing nefarious deeds and such. Hornet also doesn't pity herself. I imagine the idea that she would ever feel anything other than shame or anger or remorse at any of her wrongdoings, let alone such a thing as claiming Grandmother Silk's preeminence for her own is totally alien to her. Despite hornet's somber attitude and serious air, I think that if she found that she had or was succumbing to those things that were planned for her at her birth, she wouldn't grieve who she once was, but tear it away from her body by the throat. She did! She told her dream tree mom that she was wrong to her dream face!
Hornet would be aghast that she could have ever allowed that temptation to get the better of her. I almost risk to call it rage, but I don't know if true rage is something hornet really allows herself to express. But disappointment is not the half of it.
Even though someone like Hornet would indeed thrive in the Wulfmaiden's Pharloom, perhaps even become one of the most honored, part of the Wulf's personal patrol, if she allowed such a thing to happen - the Sister of the Void hornet can see what has happened to Pharloom upon its taking on a new weaver monarch. It isn't glorious. She's seen the fall of kingdoms that look to be unstoppable twice over. She knows where this leads.
At least the Wulf left Lace alive! Do not get me STARTED on how she would feel though if she learned of how Lace was being treated.
Good evening everyone.

why is doom and mood not related? is this somethign to do when the leaked "split souls" that was discussed?
The reason why doom and mood doesn't have much reasoning in why it was made. I just kinda decided that's gonna be a change. besides mood always looked more like a mouse than a rat to me
