Who up making overly ambitious revision timetables that they won't ever follow 🔥🔥🔥
Only revised for 1hr today sigh 😔 I'm planning to take tmr off to revise for the whole day tho I hope that's enough time. I'm just so, so tired. I want a break.
Things I do during exams as someone who's hella paranoid about accidentally committing malpractice!!
- I always bring at least 2 pens, but then I just use the pens they provide us in case my pens aren't the ones that youre able to use (even tho theyre just normal ballpoint pens)
- I only wear trousers without pockets in case I forget to take smth outta my pocket before the exam. Mind you I practically never use my pockets
- even then I still check my "pockets" (basically just patting my sides down) a shit ton of times in case there's a secret hidden pocket or smth
- I also check my wrists n ears (like physically patting them down even tho I can just see/feel stuff) IN CASE
- I ONLY bring my pens and a water bottle (and like a calculator if necessary) cuz I don't trust myself w a pencil case. What if I accidentally bring Notes somehow
- If a calculator is needed I always just leave the case in my bag
- I don't even glance at anywhere else in the room apart from the clock in case the invigilators think I'm cheating
- I only bring my student ID and not my lanyard cuz they might say that the stickers on my lanyard count as malpractice somehow
- I get there super early. Like really early
- I check my seats beforehand on my phone multiple times AND on the physical lists they put out
- I repeat important keywords/names right before the test mentally and when I open the paper n see the questions the first thing I do is write them down in case I forget
- I never bring any notes or smth even tho you can give it in before the mock (some ppl do this to revise while waiting in line yk)
- Afterwards when I get out I only talk to my friends when I'm sure we're far enough from the room. I don't talk even if we're just right outside
- I put my phone on silent AND turn off data + wifi even tho it's in the bag collection area
Everytime an invigilator comes near me I fear that I'm getting kicked out for malpractice even tho I didn't do anything 😭 exams stress me out so much even outside of grades bro
English lit exam in one hour I'm gonna kill everyone and then myself
I did 5hrs 12min of revision today! I've been locked in these days but I can feel myself losing focus n like again. It feels like I got nothing done even tho I did work for a long time 😔 I was supposed to do sociology n english work together but uh I went rouge and only looked at sociology summary videos + reread my notes for like an hour and for the rest I just blurted every single topic from psychology. I also identified my weak points (which normally tend to be the last topics cuz my teacher always rushes those) so I'll focus on those tmr!!
6.5 hours of revision today babeyyyy!! Tho it's lowk quantity over quality cuz I mostly did a buncha passive reading + relistening to my note recordings 😔 I did do a lot of blurting n did a past paper tho!!
There's so many darn topics in psychology and since I have it as my first exam THIS WEEK I've been prioritising it 😭 I need to stop neglecting sociology n english lit or else they're gonna be my downfall. It's just that psychology is also much more...organised? Like the topics r clear cut from each other whereas in sociology everything links together more n english is...annoying to revise for (like do i learn quotes? Do essay plans? Too many options)
But anyways. Here's my revision plan:
Locked in for 3.5 hours today for psychology!
I looked thru my social influence notes and made audio recordings for ao3 of all social influence n memory topics. I also did an AS paper! Also also I spent the day just listening to my recordings of my ao3 notes when I wasn't revising.
I hate it when I feel like I locked in for the whole day or smth but then when I go check my timer it's only a few hours 🥹 curse you time blindness
PSYCH EXAM WAS HELLA EASY YALL!! There were a few stupid questions but I managed, and my fave topics didn't come up >:( but overall I think I did alright!! Also my psych teacher (the one who made this paper) clearly wrote a self insert for a question w context about phobias 😭 even the person's name was one letter different from his name lmaoooo. It made me smile in the exam heheh. Also I was hella expressive for some reason today the invigilators saw me go thru the 5 stages of grief all at once 😭
Also also I forgot how to spell separation n kept spelling it as seperation so uh. I hope I don't lose marks for that. In my defense I panicked okay </3
Also x3 I just checked my timer n wowzers I did 5.3hours of work before the mock!! I revised sm w my friends lmaooo 😭
