lukewarm on this record as a whole - its best, most adventurous tracks are undercut by a lot of tacky bullshit - but, y’know, it does have some tight songs. “kill v. maim” is one of them: the avril lavigne single-note guitar lines that infect “flesh without blood” reappear, but are quickly consumed by a turnt chorus, all chipmunk vocals and thudding, tumbling drums. also, the lyrics are cool.
