i don’t know if anyone else has commented on this but I find it incredibly weird that Damien’s ex friends have been talking to these parasocial stalking fans in general. That’s actually really scary and highly irresponsible on their part. I don’t know these people but I honestly don’t like the idea of someone reaching out to talk to an old friend of a “celebrity” and that friend just talking with them about why they’re no longer friends with said celebrity and give them private details about personal life. Maybe that gives some insight on why Damien isn’t friends with people like that anymore? it’s speculation like everything else has been but I wanted to say something here because I can’t be the only one that found that very off putting.

This has bothered me very much too.

If I were in a position like this, the last thing I would be doing is enabling people who want to dig through the privacy of a man you know hates that. No matter how much my friendship had degraded, I would not be giving people ammo to use against someone I once cared about and it's been concerning to me this whole time that they're willing to do so.

I'm no expert but it sounds to me like they were hurt that he cut them off so they decided that he didn't need or deserve their confidant status anymore, and that's a damn shame.

Would it be okay to ask what Damien’s possible girlfriend is accused of doing? I keep reading hints of things on different platforms but no one will come out and say.

She's accused of stealing 20k of merch through a business partner named steadyhands, introducing herself as 21 (she is approx 32) while Damien is 34 <and thus having a huge wave of people call him a creep), stalking/harassing VAs at cons, stalking/harassing her business partner she dipped on.

Both of them (her and another person, Beth) have long documents on each other. Other people have spoken up about Chel besides just this business partner but a lot of it is she said/they said. Neither of the parties involved are perfect and I personally think they've both done things wrong but neither are perfect people.

Multiple friends of Damien's left him for not listening when they warned about Chel, people he's been close friends with for years. It's a mess all around. I may have missed something and if I did I apologize. I don't have access to either document or I'd link them and let you make your own conclusions.

At the end of the day, if what Chel did is true, Damien is being stupid about how he's handled this, but it's not illegal to be stupid and ignorant, I'm afraid, and he's well within his rights to date her.

Fully understand certain fans wanting their faves (mainly Damien in this case) to not associate with people who have done x y z. Its so disheartening to know your online fave is associating (allegedly) with someone who has been known for doing shitty things.

However.

He's a god damn adult. We all know he's has heard what Chel is 'doing' and is aware of whats going on. He's not your innocent babygirl precious uwu autist bapy unaware of evil 'icky gross' people. He is allowed to make friends and socialise with people and make his own decisions, regardless of whether fans think its wrong or not.

Regardless of what we know, we may never know the full picture and sometimes that sucks, but like. Move on and put your aggression into something positive such as advocating for food banks and local charities. If you're genuinely this pressed about Chel, start supporting independent artist affected by plagiarism and doing what you can from home/online. Yelling at the online world does so much, but wont do nothing unless you refuse to acknowledge or help others artists going through similar things

Honestly myself I hope he isnt too involve with Chel as some posts/blogs report he is, but at the same time. I kinda don't care?? He's and adult with support networks that are there for them if he needs them, if Chel's behaviour/actions or whaterver has led him to those accessing those avenues. Its none of our fucking business. Its not for us as fans to known. He deserves his privacy, he deserves basic respect like everyone. If that is the case. He is a successful man through smosh, voice acting and streaming independently.

There is no proof that Damien's supposed "partner" was banned from any LA cons. There has never been any proof. I can come on here and say they are banned from xyz con and because it fits this narrative going around, people just believe it. I'm all for outting shitty people, but back it up with proof at least.

Whether she was banned or not she harassed and stalked people at them and sold stolen merch, which means she SHOULD be banned.

i heard people talking about people being mad about damien having a girlfriend and that she was problematic or something? how do people know if he’s dating someone if he hasnt made it public? is it just speculation

this is hard for me to admit because i love damien but i do think it’s a bit weird now how there’s been two people who he dated who’ve had awful allegations against them with multiple people coming foward to express their bad experiences with them … idk.

i really don’t want to assume anything, but to me, personally, i’ve always stood by the fact that the people you surround yourself with can often be a reflection of your own character, especially with romantic partners. so i would be lying if i said that this situation doesn’t leave a bad taste in my mouth, especially when damien has always been determined to try to be morally correct in content like reddit stories, his twitch streams, etc

and i know he and saige have called it quits long ago, but (for as long as i know) there hasn’t been any concrete confirmation that he and that plvntfvce person have broken up

maybe he just has bad luck finding good people and im the one being parasocial and looking too much into this, but it does begs the point of how we truly don’t know these people outside of their on-camera personas

There also isn't any actual confirmation he and Chel were ever officially together and people need to remember that as well.

Do not make this a black mark on Damien. You cannot know someone is going to go off and do something terrible later down the line. They made their own choices.

why is the whole discourse about damien and chel coming back around again, did something happen?

Damien banned and blocked a bunch of people who interacted with a call-out post about his girlfriend.

Maybe I’m just not as much of a digging fan as I thought (which I’m glad to say) but why is is that people even assume Damien and Chel are dating?? I understand now that he has made actions on the situation but before then did they have like posts together or something?? I had never heard of this name before Damien was brought into it

Chel very much leaked information repeatedly, along with showing a picture of them kissing. Damien hasn't confirmed it but with the things Chel said, he really didn't have to. He also takes her on most of his trips with him, the way one would an SO.

Her doing that however is between him and her and people should've never started digging in the first place.
