Sign na ba to? :))

Summary:
The news article covered up about the banning of one of the famous multi-player online game Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) in all computer shops within a barangay in Dasmariñas City.
A resolution has been legally and officially passed due to the said game’s “bad influence” among the Filipino youth. The article said that it had led teenagers to involve gambling and quarrels during their ‘match’. Past news reports also proved that some murders were committed in computer shops due to arguments overmDOTA. It also encouraged deceiving and stealing. The said game was considered a tool of nuisance and disturbance to the barangay, forcing the government heads to take action.
Reaction:
In my own opinion, I definitely support the new resolution. There is nothing wrong with gaming, it even encourages sportsmanship, logical thinking and coordination. But enough reports have convinced me that the youth immersed in this game has gone wild and reckless, to the point of petty quarrels and other illegal vices. Even my brother, who is 2 years younger than me, loves to play DOTA, but he has control over this. Two to three hours a day of internet and gaming is enough. End of story. My mother discourages him to play in computer shops, so as not to be carried away.
And as to how it affects the society, I strongly believe that the banning of said online game will be a benefit. It is only banned in computer shops, meaning some can still play in their personal computers, and they can virtually play with other peers, lessening the chances of harsh physical fights and contact.
Merry Christmas sa lahat ng makakabasa nito :)
