I love when things leave me feeling good. Not like baby and puppy good -- that sometimes makes me feel guilty and panicked (Oh my god, I'll never be a good parent. How do we make that thing stop crying? I'll never be able to do anything myself.). I just want to take a moment to talk about how much I love the show The Biggest Loser like the rest of the world. I will go another step though and say that beyond the things that everyone else loves, the inspiration from the contestants and the way that their life changes, I love the way that these people interact. My favorite season ever was Season 7 with Tara. It was a season with couples/partners (not those kinds of partners, like a buddy system partner). I just would be so excited to watch that season because all the contestants became so close, that it was it genuine team work and encouragement. So sappy, but I felt like I was a part of that group. Plus there were a few sets of contestants from Michigan and Wisconsin - Midwest Reppin'! One was even a student at Michigan State University, which I thought was totes cool. I never wanted to see anyone go home. Mike, Tara, Sione, Filipe, Helen, Jerry (the grandpa!!), and many more. I loved the competition. My all time favorite contestant is Tara. She was so competitive and came so far. I was so proud of her. Also, her trainer was Jillian.
Can we be real here? People don't like Jillian because she is mean. Give me a break. She needs to be mean. People have been too nice to people their whole lives, which is part of the problem! No one tells you when you and your life choices are spiraling out of control. I know, I've been there! I wish I had someone like Jillian following me around telling me that all I do is show how big of a quitter I am when I want to quit working out. Just me?
Anyway, I also love the dynamic between Jillian and Bob. Don't get me wrong, I love Bob too. He is sensitive and I love the way that he does inspire his contestants, but I like seeing people get competitive and inspiring themselves. I love want to say that I love this show. It makes me remember that I need to stay moving and being conscious about my own health choices. PS it's terrifying when they see Dr. H and he tells them they are on death row. Please! Lose Weight! NOW. Scary. Also....There is one time I don't like The Biggest Loser...When they start weighing in and the contestants start weighing less than me, and I start feeling less excited for them and more sad for myself. HA! Go BIGGEST LOSER!
