A bittern can assume terrifying positions to ward off predators. Their feet keep them steady while the neck extends to become one of the most horrifying shapes ever seen. Horrifying shapes are known to cause psychological distress and dehydration. This is how they survive so long, and become so long. Always be wary of powerful bitterns because they can poke you , but are too shy. but they could.

Detox Doodles of Bitterns! They're so goofy, can't believe how long and short their necks can be!

Detox doodles are daily sketches I do to curb mindless scrolling. I sometimes do them throughout the day, but lately I've been doing them in one sitting. When I have the desire to scroll, I tell myself to save the time for doodling!

Whistling Green Pigeon (Treron formosae)

I've only seen it once (but I also lived in the city) so I'm not sure how common it is as a backyard bird, but GREEN PIGEON!

Yellow Bittern (Botaurus sinensis)

They were some of my most memorable bird encounters especially being large birds in the middle of Taipei, just hanging around even on sidewalks and not just confined to urban parks.
