YELLOW PEELBUG
Yellow Peelbug is the last, but certainly not least, of the Peelbugs! (none of them are the least) Yellow Peelbug is, however, one of the least sweet. I don’t know whether lemons or limes are sweeter, but both are decidedly not sweet, making it interesting that Yellow Peelbug is in Sugarpine Woods with all the sweeties! They needed some zest to shake it up!
Look how yellow it is! Goodness gracious! It could light up the room, which it could also do if it could smile! In the past I said I wanted to eat an entire lime. I also want to eat an entire lemon. I have eaten lemon peel, though! It was part of a whole lemon slice (not wedge) and I liked it. I’d do it again!
Like Green Peelbug, Yellow Peelbug has the little wider part to create the side nubs when rolled up! Otherwise, it looks quite similar to Orange Peelbug, which is sort of inevitable when both are Peelbugs with yellow in their designs. Like other Peelbugs, it is found hiding in tunnels, but something neat about Yellow is that one of these tunnels is across a chasm, and the Buggy Ball must be launched across to get it in. It would seem there would be something especially special here, and there is! The Yellow Peelbug in this tunnel is very special, because it lives in this location in particular.
While not revealed until the full game was released, Yellow Peelbug WAS teased with the release of the gameplay trailer, where Filbo had a Yellow Peelbug wedge on his head! It was easy to mistake for an Orange Peelbug transformation, just as this Sweet Fryder body could be mistaken for a regular Fryder’s. Sneaky sneaky! I love it! Also I love Crystal Sweetiefly being here so prominently before it was revealed, too. I’m sure Bugsnak reveals were not a very pressing matter before launch. But it doesn’t matter because they were exciting to me, and I like to think of the circumstances of them happening!
Normally, Floofty’s nose looks like a lemon, but if they eat a Yellow Peelbug, it can become a perpendicular lemon! Life is strange like that, isn’t it?
