The void was green… well, turning green. The rip in the sky was new, unnatural, and he felt it in his bones. It was an ache, an almost physical pain.

He went in the house, walking up to the third floor’s balcony to get a better look. It was bright, hurt his eyes, but it felt like it was draining something. He leaned over the edge to get a better look since he knew he would just float but…

He felt gravity.

His being froze… for once he felt what mortals called pressure, gravity, a feeling of grounding. And it felt awful, weighing. Whatever was in the sky, it was NOT good.

He reached into his pockets which were usually filled bottomless with Knick-Knacks and trinkets to feel a bottom, and end. His way of working changed, his limbs stuck in one length and the blood truly flowing.

He still at least had his shotgun, but instead of endless bullets now needs to be refilled, which he had ammo. He held his gun which had weight for the first time, and kept the ammo in his pockets. He’d have to adapt, but he’d keep his house safe.

he won’t fail them again.
