Yennefer's crankiness has exactly one remedy that comes in the unexpected form of a beautiful stranger in a club. Enthusiastic thanks to my dear beta, @arestlessrunaway!

Irritability, sarcasm and nitpicking are not unusual for Yennefer. However, those lovely traits may have gotten out of hand these past few weeks. 

Stregobor, on account of being an idiot, has a natural predisposition towards turning his employees into proverbial punching bags. Until last week, Yennefer had been lucky enough to avoid becoming boxing equipment in his eyes. However, arse that he is, it took little more than a single assignment handed in thirty minutes past the deadline, which had never happened before. Yennefer is competent and good at her job, thank you very much, so she'd rather not revisit the reason behind this minor fuck-up. 

What made Yennefer’s blood boil was the verbal lashing she’d received from her boss, done in public to humiliate her further. To say that he hammered the point home about her supposed laziness and stupidity was an understatement, which Yennefer made perfectly clear upon her return home that night.
