I have been having a hard time convincing myself that I am a good artist. I have such a high bar that anything I do isn’t good enough and I get so overwhelmed with things to do to get better, that I just... don’t draw at all. Which doesn’t help. My fiancé reminded me of something I had heard before, that being an artist is to constantly be dissatisfied with your work. This is so true, I have been feeling it for over a year. Despite my struggles with my skills, this is still what I want to do with my life. Visual storytelling has been a huge part of my life and it’s still my passion and my drive. I will not stop drawing, I will keep working to better my craft. I just have to remind myself from time to time that I need to be patient with myself.
