Gold Star Nation Concert Final Day
For: @yeoliefmd
The morning had been a really rough start for the idol and with the added pressure of their company concert had him more on edge than usual. The previous night he had collapsed during practice and had hurt his nose to the point where the injury was visible enough that makeup -- no matter how thick -- wouldn’t cover it. Deciding to play on his cute and bubbly personality, they gave him a brightly patterned bandage with the hopes that fans would just assume it was aesthetics. With that hindrance out of mind, he could focus on preparing for the show. He tended to isolate just a little before any performance so that he could get into “the zone”, but this time he hovered near his members, especially that of their leader.
“Hyung,” he murmured to Chanyeol from behind him as they prepared to go on stage. Should the older member have looked back, he would see the anxiety had melted from the young face and it was replaced with fierce excitement. “Let’s have fun today!”
The performances, from TK’s perspective weren’t flawless, but with the high energy from the crowd there was no ignoring how much fun the entire show had been. The interactions with his members, the fans and their reactions… all of it… and all on such a big scale. It was unlike anything he could ever imagine. It didn’t matter how many times he performed. TK would always be aw-struck and eternally grateful for being able to perform.
During their ending ment, emotion welled up in the dancer’s eyes. He fought through the emotion with his obnoxious hiccuping laughter, though his voice cracked from the sheer overwhelming wave of feelings on the final day. When they finally were allowed to return backstage to prepare for the after-party, TK threw himself onto his leader.
“HYUNG!” He was out of breath and the tears flowed freely from his face. He was tired, happy, and -- “We did it!” Months of preparation, lack of sleep -- it was all over for now. Now they could celebrate. “We really did it!”
