i decided to go through the kingdom tag in ao3 again after rewatching kingdom for the nth time and why is it that no one is using that one scene where the soldiers went to jiyulheon and a lot of people died and lee chang muttering that it's his fault and yeongshin saying "yes, its your fault!" that would have been such a good angst material ??? imagine lee chang waking up from a nightmare and he can hear a voice say that it was his fault for all the death that happened around him (his father's, ahn hyeon's, muyeong's, his people, that girl in jiyulheon) and strangely it sounds so much like yeongshin and he cant shake it off and its haunting him for days and yeongshin can see that something is going on with chang and he tried to confront him about it. however, chang keeps avoiding him, and yeongshin (despite travelling with chang for a long time) can't really force him since he still respect chang as his king. and then something happened, and chang is forced to face yeongshin and they talked it out and yeongshin felt guilty about it since he never thought that it still bothers lee chang up until now (he never expected it to bother him AT ALL) so he tried to explain to chang his side. then chang will ask yeongshin if he still thinks like that and yeongshin will assure chang that no, it was never chang's fault, that those deaths will never be his fault.
