I am so interested in your recent devolution into Yeonjunism. I'd like to request a dissertation please (jk).
When I first got into kpop I only knew one group (it - gasp! - wasn't ateez, my current beloveds) and I LIKED liking kpop I discovered. The quickest way for me to burn out on a thing is to have too narrow of a focus, so I quickly went scrambling for other groups to be into also, to give my brain bouncing room, so I could continue to ride the dopamine wave of liking kpop. I decided I was going to try txt, so I watched several hours of content, I recall, and yet never got hooked. I do feel distantly fond of them still - my faves that never were. But this was (oh yikes) four years ago this month, and they have evolved quite a bit since then. They even made a mini album one time a couple years ago that I still listen to on repeat in its entirety (usually their music doesn't click for me).
And so, it is my fervent wish that you go Yeonjun feral on your blog. Or! Academically obsessed, or any flavor of mad, really. I love seeing things that didn't quite work for me from a new perspective.

There are several thesis statements about Choi Yeonjun that I need to get out. Conclusions first, and god knows when I'll get to it but!
Choi Yeonjun is the most consequential Trainee in the history of Trainees existing inside the Idol Creation Factory system. His impact is VAST.
Choi Yeonjun is what happens when a person perfectly suited to the demands of a particular art form meets that art form at the perfect time.
Choi Yeonjun is already and will very likely be the one and only saving grace of his whole generation of Kpop Idols and their output.
Choi Yeonjun justifies the existence of Hybe beyond sustaining the juggernaut that is BTS, because they are investing in him properly and he is WORTHY of such investment.
I have in the past year seen SO MANY Idols and he's the only one that left me star struck.
And this was all SUDDEN by the way. Like, literally SUDDENLY, almost out of nowhere, he made the leap into this from being just one of the many many (8 in Ateez, 5 in TxT, 7 in Enhypen, 6 of Monsta X, 7 of All hours, 8 in Stray Kids, 6 of P1harmony plus Taemin and Kim Jayjoong - this is 42 idols in total) Idols I saw live to being THE ONE in the space of less than six months with the release of his solo album. Boy knows how to make the MOST of a goddamn opportunity!
I have to go to bed but Woweeee this guyyyyy. I will try to unpack these as I go.
