Who knows how she’d found herself with these scary looking people, and Naeun, being the shy thing she was, looked at them nervously–which, honestly, was the worst thing she could have done–as they returned her gaze with grins. She’d wanted to hightail it out of there but her legs had been glued to the ground and to yell for help would probably get her murdered–or at least she thought. A few wrong turns had put her in this uncomfortable situation and as time passed, she deliberated what they were going to do with her. She wet her lips with her tongue, hopeful for speech to form, but it inevitably never came. Naeun knew that, she had always had a tough time conversing with people, and when she was frightened, it came upon her even more so. She tried to steady her hands, giving them a weak smile to show she was friendly, but the sight of them caused her to frown instantaneously. “I like when you smile.” One of the men had spoken and it had caught her off guard. She stared at him hard, taking in his appearance. Oh no, she’d attracted one of those ‘bad boys’ again–the ones she tried so desperately to avoid. Naeun checked behind herself automatically, hoping he was talking to someone else, alas, there was no one there. On reaction, she threw her hand to her mouth, attempting to cover her face because she was embarrassed as per usual
Takeshi watched as she internally fought with herself on what she should do after his outburst. He’d thought about it when he saw her perform on stage through the small television that was held up by black bars and silver screws. It was a surprise to even run into her in this hallway. Most of the idols zipped in and out without a passing glance, but he figured she had simply lost her way and stumbled across them on accident. “Hey now, why are you being so shy? You were so happy up on stage just now.”
There was a teasing tone in his voice. He hoped he could get her to blush just a little bit by his words before she turned on her heel and ran away. Takeshi wouldn’t blame her if she did. The three of them were just standing around, minding their own business after they finished all the preparations for the show and waiting for their boss to call them. He was only here to help out a friend who needed him to take his place for the day. He doubted he’d ever get another chance to talk to the shy girl again, but he could at least get her to exchange her name with his, maybe even a phone number if he was lucky. When she didn’t reply, his grin had softened into a gentle smile.
“You were really good out there.” He pointed up at the television, trying to make her feel as comfortable as possible. It was just by pure luck that he caught her performing with her group. He had to admit that they were good at singing and dancing, but it was Naeun (he asked one of the males with him for her name) that had caught his attention. “Are you lost? I’ll show you the way back if you’d like.”
