「S.H.E」

     A dissatisfied hum was brought to the lips of a certain fumbling detective as he stole a quick glance to his phone's blinding screen. No updates in the past four hours. Of course, a brand new employee with a mediocre at best recommendation wouldn't receive word of a job whilst on call. Not unless they were strapped for assistance or had a job they really didn't want to give to the, quote, proper detectives. These jobs usually involved vandal teenagers or calls that were suspected to be pranks.

     Until he'd receive word that he had an objective or would be off call for the night, Adachi assumed he could free roam until something came up. This thought found him in the shopping district of Koi, window browsing for things he couldn't afford and taking mental note of things he'd need later (the only inward note thus far was a quick stop at the grocery after work for some cabbages).

     As his sight was removed from one item and placed upon the next, the rookie let out another heavy sigh, eyebrows folding into a frown. It wasn't until his attention was caught by the reflection of a young woman that his features relaxed. Hey, she's pretty cute. He thought to himself, instinctively taking a few steps in her direction as she passed him. Without a second thought, Adachi set a plan in motion to talk to her. Whipping out his phone as he pretended to do some sort of important business on it, he picked up the speed of his stride and casually pumped his shoulder into hers.

     「Oh, I'm so sorry!」A habitual lift of his hand to the nape of his neck granted a sheepish expression to cast over his features as a gentle smile graced his lower visage. 「I must not have been paying any attention.」
