Hey what do you think of Amazon's new thing for publishing fanfics? I think it's called Kindle World?
This is the first I’ve heard of it!
I suppose if it’s a legitimate publishing process and the authors don’t get screwed out of copyright etc. then it’s great?
yerawizardlani reblogged your post:Like yay. SO THRILLED to have a Raven and Bellamy...
I think it makes sense though. Because in a realistic world, the world that we live in now, a large majority of the very...
I think you've got some good points there. But I'm not assuming that the war that ruins the earth happens like right now and then the 100 is set 97 years in the future. I think they dont' do that either because we haven't actually been given a year time stamp. So the idea that it'd be a bunch of white people because that's who's happening rn is a little depressing to me. I mean, if you're gonna put shit in the future, make it look like a better future. Make the bombs happen 100 years from now and just maybe we've grown out of some of this racist bullshit and things are better? (isn't there some quote about sci fi and racism floating around like that?) And I don't necessarily see the grounder tribes as savages but they're really aiming high to portray them that way from where I'm watching. If the 100 can find supplies in old bunkers and every damn fic has them building cabins and buildings etc etc why wouldn't the grounders be in solid houses to keep them out of acid fog, instead of caves and tents? I dunno if the point the writers are trying to make is that we're doing this all over again, torching the natives and taking over, but it's starting to make me really uncomfortable. I just think they could do better. I don't think it'd make me so uncomfortable if the POCs seemed to be cast as grounders more often. I do think there's a fair amount of diversity on the ark and I love that but it still feels like people getting killed on the grounders side are a lot of POCs.
