what are your favorite Andy headcanons?

Sleepover asks!

This is so hard to decide because I rotate different ones for headcanon posts and AU conversations and such but I'm gonna go with the ones I come back to for fics a lot?? The established ones I love and that are really just a part of her background in my head in any other headcanon or AU I talk about. This got longer than I meant it to be

Andy has endometriosis, and while that's a root cause for her chronic pain and her infertility and a lot of symptoms she never realised were connected, it'll take a long time before she's ever diagnosed. By the time she is, it's at an advanced stage affecting several organs.

Her mom (Lucy Wyatt) had her when she was eighteen, getting pregnant at seventeen after a second date with Andy's dad (Andrew Wyatt). Lucy's mom (Kathleen) was furious; she's a much more conservative and religious woman, and didn't want anything to do with her daughter for a while.

Lucy is from the south of Tennessee, and after re-establishing contact with her mom, she takes Andy and then her siblings to Tennessee for the summers often.

Andy has ADHD that goes undiagnosed until well into her thirties or forties. She also used to wet the bed for a long time as a kid and then teenager (and never really knew this could be connected to ADHD or her endometriosis, or just a thing that happened). The amount of times she was described by teachers and camp counselors and her grandmother as a purposefully difficult and childish kid left a mark.

Her grandmother especially, who would react to her accidents with a slap in the face and a cold scrub in the shower, really messed with her in ways Andy's not gonna have words for for a long time. (She'll also not realise that child abuse prolonging bedwetting is very very common.)

Her dad dies either when she's fourteen years old (and he is only 32), or when she's in her mid thirties and the divorce is quite recent. If he dies after the divorce, Toby still accompanies her to his funeral.

The grandpa Huck Wyatt-Ziegler is named after, despite his unfortunate name, died in WWII. Andy sometimes feels guilty naming both her kids after people who died doing what's right, but it IS the spirit in their family lbr.

She and CJ were at Berkeley together, and Andy especially was involved in AIDS activism. They've lost many, many friends; they've had their fair share of their own health scares during this. It lays the groundwork for their respective attitudes in politics at a young age.

And to close it off more happily: she has a cat she got at a shelter after the divorce. The cat is a mom whose kittens all got adopted while she stayed behind because she hits people a little too much for anyone's tastes. Andy loves her so incredibly much.

What visual first shorts Eddie's brain out when he sees Buck and Tommy together for the first time?

Trick question! I think the first one is one he doesn’t even realize is tripping his brain up and it’s when Tommy puts his hand on Buck’s thigh at the bar, rubbing and soothing the muscle throughout the night and Buck presses into his side.

It’s just… they’re both so… big and somehow Tommy makes Buck look small and Eddie isn’t petite either and yet he can’t wrap his head around if he wants to also hold Buck’s thigh or have Tommy’s hand on his own thigh.

The second one was an accident. They didn’t hear him come in through the front door. But again he’s latched onto their hands and then way Buck’s are bunching up Tommy’s work shirt with his fists while Tommy’s hands are fully hidden in the seat of Buck’s pants, kneading the flesh of his ass and dragging him up almost onto his toes and both of them refusing to let the other go far.

But then it’s the sounds he thinks of when he’s alone at night. The hitch in Buck’s breath. The deepness of Tommy’s moan. The way they laughed when the broke apart like they were caught up in their own little world and all Eddie wanted was to be caught up in it with them.
