FFXIV 30 Day Writing Challenge Prompt #27: Foot in Mouth The Seeker of the Sun was growing more restless with each passing moment, finding it more and more difficult to focus on her studies. She sat down the tome upon the desk in front of her with a sigh, peering up at Melfice pleadingly. “Why can’t I read something fun?” she complained. “Even the pictures in this book are all scary an’ gloomy! Look, this lady doesn’t even have clothes on!” Melfice stepped closer to lean over her shoulder and peer down at the illustration of the Void creature in question on the open page. “That is a drawing of a succubus,” he stated flatly. X’unmei froze, her skin paling a shade. “Oh, um, uhh... I didn’t mean, umm... I was jus’ sayin’ that, uhh... a-anyroad, uh, yerwifeislovely,” she quickly blurted out, immediately clamping the book shut and jumping up from her chair, nearly bumping into the looming man in the process. “I think that’s enough studyin’ fer one sun,” she decided aloud.
