The history of mankind is one of conflict and conquest. Those who have the wherewithal to expand and acquire territory do so, and those who lack the ability to defend themselves fall victim to this brutal system. The European imperialists grew their empires through bloodshed, and their subjugated peoples only reclaimed their nations through struggles. Why then Do we not consider White Americans to be “real Americans?” Their ancestors conquered and accrued this land, and therefore it is theirs as much as anyone’s. Personally I believe defining ones self by ones ancestry is ludicrous, but if we are playing that game, my ancestors were Americans because before they colonized this continent, there was no modern nation state known as “America.” My ancestors forged and modernized this nation, and by the time they arrived, the native peoples hadn’t even discovered the wheel. Therefore, any claim the “First Nations” had to that land was forfeited when a modern nation, the United States of America, acquired it, organized it, and built its infrastructure. The treatment of the Native population has been downright lenient, in historical perspective. The USA has every right to plumb, exploit, and utilize the land under their jurisdiction to its full extent. The Dakota Access Pipeline is completely legal, and in fact is not even a racial issue, but one of population density. The DAPL can and will be built, regardless of the protestations of sanctimonious liberal twats.
