One thing the bsd fandom seems to forget/not understand is that the ada workers are not actually detectives and instead they are private investigators.

To become a detective you have to become a police agent first and then get promoted to detective which takes a lot of time, the ada workers were hired on spot and never went to police training nor did they get promoted to detectives

Private investigators can't make an arrest and are there for only the cases that's why the ada always works with the police and government(special division for unusual powers)(ex:in 'murder on d street' there were police officers and it was the other officers to arrest the culprit and not ranpo himself)

Ranpos dad was probably an official detective who could make arrests himself and that's probably why ranpo calls himself a detective when he is a private investigator bc he wanted to be just like his dad(plus detective sounds way cooler)(like best privite investigator in the whole world sounds so lame)

Dazai confirms this on ep 1 saying that they're private investigators(atleast on sub idk for dub)

Fukuzawa has an ability work permit(permit he needs to make a workplace(ada/port mafia) that makes use of abilities(also yes the pm has one that's the entire reason for odas death))so he is legally allowed to make a workplace that uses abilities but that doesn't mean he has a permit to make a police department(plus the ada are literally on top of cafe the agency floor is rented if it were an actual police department they would atleast have their own building)

If you're wondering how and why i know this is bc i want to be a detective and gone to a research spree to how to become one plus other professions like detective work (after the research spree my want to become a detective has become lower since its way too much work like i dont want to be an officer i just want to solve murders and homicides and nothing else i don't want to do paperwork)(also the research spree was a while ago i just still remember the information lol)

Also "armed detective agency" was most likely named by ranpo and his 14/15 year old self and honestly i would call it detective agency too(again private investigator sounds lame af)(also ranpo could've genuinely not known the difference)

Additional:upon further research i found that 'special police' do exist and they are in japan the ada seems to be a mix of special investigation team(SIT) and special assault team(SAT)

But they still aren't detectives nor special police the ada can have people(customers) come in and request an investigation(like what higuchi did at the start of the show) and it resembles how a customers walks in a private investigation agency if the ada were special police they wouldn't have requests to investigate and they would've gotten training(plus the the special police are probably paid better than that)

(I did not know special police were a thing before writing this i heard abt from reddit while researching how would someone get a permit to open a police department)

ACK- STEDDIE HEAD CANNON-

Eddie literally cannot leave Steve alone when he gets dressed, like just “checking up on him” or wanting to get a peek at his half naked body . He just wants Steve to lay topless beside him, or hold him close with his face in his neck (with his shirt off too obvi). He really just likes the way Steve’s skin feels against his. Steve walked in on Eddie changing like once, and..he’ll definitely be doing that again. Just the way Eddie’s bony back looks is surprisingly…hot..in a way. So, one day, they’re just over at Steve’s house and Eddie falls asleep watching this one movie. So Steve just sits there and stares at him like “…..HES RIGHT THERE, DO SOMETHING.” He ends up just “falling asleep” on Eddie’s lap.

I'm making my mc a githyanki druid and for her bg she's gonna be a hermit who lived in a swamp for the past few years and she looks sweet-as sweet as a githyanki can look-and acts so kind but she can intimidate the fuck out of someone twice her size. It's hilarious because I have a clothes mod and she wears the dress your dream, apparition, person, thing wears. So she looks like a flower child. It's funny.

I will have to engineer that kiss somehow into my fic, but one scene I know will come up in this Sam-has-always-been-in-glee, Kurt-transfers-from-new-york-and-nobody-knows-he-lives-with-finn fic, is the scene where Sam comes over to ask Finn if he wants to go for a run because they're both frustrated, Carole invites him inside, and he finds the mysterious, cute boy from school sitting at the breakfast table in silk pyjamas with unkept hair looking mildly horrified when he notices him.
