Do you guys have any link to a site that can break down the types of journalism and jobs ?

Hi, thanks for writing in. 

As far as breaking down the types of journalism, I’m not sure I can think of anything. But I can try to address what I think your questions is. 

Journalism breaks down into two broad and kind of outdated categories. Hard and soft news. 

Hard news is economics, government, crime, activism, business, etc. Anything that is going to have an immediate and foreseeable impact on people. 

Soft news is things like arts, culture, entertainment, sports. 

But that’s just one model of looking at journalism, there’s advocacy journalism, peace journalism.

As for jobs, JournalismJobs.com is how I got my last two full time jobs in journalism.
