Show Up

Seeing a lot of “votes don’t matter” on FB tonight.

I call bullshit.

Even if you believe that at the federal level (and while I don’t agree, I can see why some would feel that way) there’s a lot that goes on at the state level that people continuously drop the ball on. It’s not interesting to them so they don’t show up. Here’s the thing:

SHOW. UP.

This election season, if 1.25 million MA voters don’t show up to say Yes on 3, we lose. We will lose because 33,000 (less than 1% of the MA population) people signed a petition saying trans people don’t deserve to live their lives unmolested in public. And if we lose this vote, that will galvanize the opposition to enact more anti-trans laws across the country because of it can happen in MA it can happen anywhere.

State elections matter. The GOP laid The groundwork for this current fiasco at the state level.
