Hi here’s how you style loose curls from someone who has loose curls: idk how much you know so I’m giving you my whole routine. Also it can be different depending on thickness/coarseness
1) use not a whole lot of shampoo and/or switch to cowashing entirely depending on how coarse your hair is (I use one that’s made for curls so it’s like. Pricey. davines momo. Literally nothing else makes my hair feel silky it is Bonkers)
2) use a good conditioner for curly hair (I also use davines momo it is still so fucking pricey, if u get a cheaper curl conditioner from like Walmart I’m sure it’d work out) also brush your hair out in the shower with a detangling brush while it has conditioner on it. Try to get like a deep conditioner or smthn that’s supposed to stay on your hair for a hot minute.
3) DO NOT!!!!! Dry hair off when u step out of the shower. Do not touch it with anything and keep it as wet as possible for applying leave-in conditioner. Brush it out again to make sure the leave-in gets all the way in there if your hair’s thick
4) apply curl gel. This reduces frizz a TON and is imho the most important step I do out of everything. I take a little bit out and rub it on my hands and then scrunch and shake my hair a lot, then repeat the process until my curls are separated enough to give my hair a good amount of body. Shaking curls should be like, lightly done. You don’t want to shake the curl out of your hair, you just want to separate thicker curls so that they aren’t weighed down during the drying process
5) air-dry if you can but if you can’t, use a diffuser. Never dry on high heat bc this makes frizz worse.
Hope this helps !

I have like a weird hair type so it's next to IMPOSSIBLE to find tutorials that ACTUALLY make sense. But I am definitely gonna try thisssss.
(Also thank you for clarifying a CURL gel, last time I tried a hair routine I just used the gel my sister uses, and her gel is the one you use like in the army.)
