I am a Disneyland enjoyer but not in the Disney adult nostalgia bootlicker Karen type of way. Not in the yelling 'Andy's coming' constantly to the extent that they took away that fun little secret way.
In a Disneyland pioneered a new form of entertainment in a way that has rarely been replicated before or since (even by themselves) way. In a thousands upon thousands of talented designers and engineers have consistently created new technologies to create cutting edge entertainment to satisfy an insatiably hungry-for-more audience way. In a finding out new little fun facts and details every time I look into it way. In a watching history unfold through a single park, learning how orange groves turned into thematic exhibitions turned into gift shops, seeing how the park reflects human culture and interests but also has the longevity and international presence to be an influence itself way. In a I can read pages upon pages of long-gone memories of how an area has evolved in depth because it is documented and explained by internet archivists way.
AND pretty lights rides go fast
I care about Country Bear Jamboree more than people should, I think
A personal vintage photo I took as a kid visiting Disneyland. The Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship Restaraunt, Skull Rock, and the Skyway, 1979. Dumbo the Flying Elephants is now located in this area of Fantasyland. #fantasyland #disney #disneyland #chickenofthesea #skullrock #captainhookspirateship #pirateship #skyway #vintagedisneyland #happiestplaceonearth #yesterland (at Disneyland) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDCOXDOJyE4/?igshid=67blllvhlr87
Little Tomorrowland
I never got to experience the Mission to Mars attraction, but I like how they kept the familiar “swoosh” on the front of the building for Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port.
