a follow up to my ask from last night...

meet petalstripe's kits! from top to bottom, we have yewkit, quailkit, and flintkit!

how yewkit, quailkit, and flintkit were left at the daycare

yewkit's mother drowned (she lived in a marshy area of the df)

quailkit's father (who was trans ftm) was impaled by a tree branch (he lived in a densely wooded area of the df)

flintkit's parents were neglectful/abusive, and abandoned him at the daycare after letting his littermates starve

that’s very sad but at the same time I love it when cats are killed by the environment because it shows that in spite of the fun they ARE in a really dangerous place

I'm thinking that yewkit, quailkit, and flintkit are all adopted, and all have different bio parents

after rescuing rainkit, rosekit, and lionkit, petalstripe decided he wanted to help out more kits in need, and started volunteering at the daycare

he bonded with yew, quail, and flint, all orphaned from various traumas of their own, and adopted them :333

yewkit, quailkit, and flintkit also help rainkit, rosekit, and lionkit out a lot with getting over their trauma

yewkit is a very chill, go-with-the-flow fella, rainkit learns to relax through being with him

quailkit is a very peaceful and diplomatic fella, rosekit learns that not everything has to be solved with violence through being with her

flintkit is very brave, charging headfirst into danger, lionkit learns that the world isn't such a scary place through being with him
